Thanks, Afroshane! Sorry for my terrible typing skills... I meant Wayfarer.
I love the "Making of Departures videos!" John did a good fimling job on that and it looks like y'all had a great time working on the record. LOL! I am old... I still call them records.

all the video footage was shot by john or someone else in the studio with john's camcorder. johnny played the guitars on friday. Thanks for the reply! Ohhh, I LOVE the guitars on friday, loved the sound from the very first listen!! insert the URL of the img between these tags: " " without the quotes. Well, I've read this about 15 times now and didn't get it. I can't see anything but quotes... no tags!? Now that I'm typing this and quote theafroshane's post the tags DO appear... kinda invisible tags... somewhat strange. When posting a pic, I usually upload it to my photobucket (and maybe resize it), then I get an Image Code that simply needs to be copied and then pasted onto the board. I still don't know if we're supposed to do so, as it might take more (data)space than necessary? But it looks so nice in here with the pics in between!

The URL of the image goes between this [ img ] and this [ /img ] removing the spaces. Sorry for confusion.
And for those of u looking at flights there are some nice hotels in cool parts of town for $200/night.
Try Thompson LES or the ACE hotel. Also there may be hostels that r cheap.
No clue on flights but kayak.com and sidestep.com r good.

hey, that's very useful information!! Thank you! Hum... Are you dropping any hint? ;D Thomson hotel is in the same street than Rockwood Music Hall, and Ace Hotel has a place for events called Liberty Hall: The Liberty Hall event space consists of three rooms separated by two moving walls, allowing for configurations of one, two or three spaces with independent A/V and lighting controls. The space is ideal for a wide range of events, such as fashion shows, corporate meetings, wedding receptions, cÂșcktail parties, temporary gallery shows and live concerts. Is it just a coincidence? You know very well New York, don't you? What we should visit? (yeah, I know Google could help with that, but there's nothing like own opinions of the ones who live or have ever been there.)

No clue on flights but kayak.com and sidestep.com r good. Thanks for the links, very useful info! I didn't know of sidestep.com before, it's great and very easy to navigate! Oh, and I just checked out the Thompson LES. Sounds amazing, makes me want to check in there like NOW!! ******************************************* For anyone interested that is what it's like: Thompson LES a luxury hotel located in the original artistic and diverse neighborhood of the Manhattans Lower East Side is the next highly anticipated property to open in Thompson Hotel portfolio. Conceptually designed by Ed Rawlings Architects and Dodd Mitchell Design and interior design by Jim Walrod the hotel embodies the ultimate in clean contemporary New York style with its industrial loft-like feel. The classically modern 18-story hotel is located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan right below Houston Street. The hotel features over 140 rooms most of which look over Allen Street boulevard and have views of Manhattan that are unlike any within the neighborhood. One can see past the Chrysler building and beyond the Hudson and East Rivers. There will be a 120 seat destination restaurant with an additional separate entrance on Orchard Street an outdoor swimming pool with a bar on its 3rd floor as well as a guests and members-only bar on its lush landscaped rooftop echoing A60 the private and popular open-air bar atop the 60 Thompson hotel. The views from this outdoor bar face west and have spectacular views of the Hudson. The average size of the room is in excess of 425 square feet and offers an industrial loft-like feel. This hotel is also unprecedented in its prestigious partnerships with world-renowned artists. The images displayed in Thompson LES are of figures within the Andy Warhol circle people and stories that have made cultural American history. The images of Lee Friedlander will adorn the light box headboards of the beds in each room. The artwork gracing the hotel swimming pool floor will be an image of Andy Warhol himself taken as a film still. Stephen Shore photography will be on display in the public spaces of the hotel.

for those wanting to goto new york... check out ryanair for flights to london and delta airlines for flights from london to ny... I checked for september and I can book a flight from Eindhoven to London and London to NYC for 350 euro total, some administration costs excluded... only thing is you need to book way in advance... so it would be nice to have concert dates available asap... another way to find cheap flights is to check sites such as www.cheaptickets.nl you get a list of flights, including the airlines that fly those flights. Next, check the website of that airline for the same flight. Usually you will find the airlines sell the flight cheaper, since they don't charge the administration fee a booking/search site would charge.

"I kind of fucked up a little bit" - heard that one twice, first in Copenhagen and then at the Water Rats. Admittedly, I kind of like that line, would like it even more though if it didn't apply to "Departures".
Do you know what the hold up is? Any news as to when "Departures" is going to be released on CD (or at least downloadable)?
THANK YOU!

and with that... will it without a doubt be released/presented in NY? And if so, has the date been set yet? For I am looking for flights, but don't want to risk booking the wrong dates, if I can manage to go...

looking like september. there's a lot more going into it than just getting CDs manufactured.
Website redesign, art, generating buzz and press to promote gigs. book gigs a couple months out so they can be properly promoted etc.
looking like september. definitely shows in London to launch disc and in US in nyc.
No dates set for sure yet.

Another show in London sounds good and after all it's only about seven weeks until September. Thank you for the update! ~J. PS: I ordered "Dusk And Summer" in a shop here in Berlin, will get it on Monday and am really looking forward to hearing it (and hope it will be the version you've been working on). As far as I know, the album peaked at #2 in the U.S. charts the year it was released - GREAT!
