OMGROFLMAO at the water ballet shot!!!!! Definite totebag material! I now have a new screen saver... Hehe! Little known fact: James Blunt was actually Jennifer Grey's stunt double in the lift scene from "Dirty Dancing!" LOL! Is John really that strong that he can hold another man over his head or is Blunty really, really light? Thank you for posting the pics and making me laugh so hard at your comments. ;D It's always the little known facts that are the most important. ;D As for the John/ James remake, I think it looks more 'dirty' than 'dancing' and there's still room for improvement on the artistic impression, but I'd rate it 6.0 for effort. Of course, I DO believe that John is REALLY that strong (Thank God he was already shirtless, otherwise he probably would have had to shower with his shirt on for the next couple of days as he couldn't lift his arms to take it off... ;D) Aww, we would make the best trivia team in the world, Missy, almost unbeatable I suppose (who needs physics anyway..)! I wasn't joking about my twinsister, sadly, no sister days for me anymore. My twinsister died of cancer in 1999. Still hurts to think of everything she had to go through, all the pain and the days between hope and despair. She had been in hospital for the last 3 months of her life and I was with her each and every day, sometimes even at night. It's been a tough time, actually the hardest I ever had to go through, but at the same time the most intense. Although we went to the same schools and have always been kind of best friends, we never got as close as during those days/hours in the face of death and now she lives on in my memory. So, "back to the lecture at hand" (I didn't know Snoop Dog was such a philosopher ): You don't want me to choose between the kiddies and pick ONLY 10, do you!? It's almost impossible to narrow it down to 10, but I'll try (I think I already posted my personal Top 10 as far as non album tracks go in another thread, so I'll keep it to the album tracks this time - the 8 known Departures-tracks included): Here goes: "Go", "Footprints", "Lost", "Happy Hour", "Shadow", "Bugs To The Light", "Clock Face", "Say Something Wonderful", "Evade The Pain", "Censored Memories", "Nothing New"... ok, make this 11... I also love John for his board and for his great boardies who, from all parts of the world, make this little southern gal laugh on a daily basis!

How sad, Jade, I can't imagine how hard it should have been *lots of hugs* But I'm sure, wherever she is now, she's very grateful to you for being there all the time. I'd go mad if I lose one of my sisters, I can't ever think about that... About choosing between Departure tunes, what a difficult thing... But Let's Run would be the first one, of course

Thank you Lucy, for the hugs and karma! About choosing between Departure tunes, what a difficult thing... But Let's Run would be the first one, of course Yes, sooo difficult to choose between Departures tunes, sooo difficult to choose at all. Yet I'd love to know what's your Top 10 album tracks! Give it try, please!

Uhm... Ok....General Top 10 then (as Departure tunes are only 8 available to listen - if they're the final mix - plus another 2 if we get them from YouTube).
Well Let's Run is on the top as said, but above it, Clock Face (best ever) and Happy Hour. 4th would be... Questions, although it makes me cry everytime. Then All This Time, Cold Coffee, Footprints, Say Something Wonderful, Walking On Broadway, I Leave On Friday... And that makes 10... Uhm, I don't know... I'm sooo undecided! But Clock Face keeps on 1st position, and I think it will always do ;D

Glad I could make you laugh as hard as you have made me. I'm still giggling at the water ballet pic and your comments; thanks for posting. Now I have the image of John bursting out of his shirt like Incredible Hulk and turning green. Hehe! John's form looks pretty strong but Blunty's form need's a little work. He's not extending his legs or pointing his toes. LOL! John get's a 6.0 but Blunty only a 5.8, I think! I wonder how many Jack and Cokes led to the Dirty Dancing moment... Too bad this wasn't on video for James's video Diary, I would love to have heard the conversation. This reminds me... Am I the only one who misses both James and John's funny YouTube videos? The pillow fight and "Taws" were my favorites. I think I watched them about 50 times. I'm addicted to YouTube! Aww, we would make the best trivia team in the world, Missy, almost unbeatable I suppose (who needs physics anyway..)! I wasn't joking about my twinsister, sadly, no sister days for me anymore. Oh, Jade, how terrible! My deepest sympathy for your great loss! Karma on your way too! It's lovely that you got to be so close though. Wish my sister and I were more close. So, "back to the lecture at hand" (I didn't know Snoop Dog was such a philosopher ): "Ain't nothin' but a G thang, baby!" LOL! Who needs Aristotle, Plato or Socrates, when there is the great philosopher, Snoop Dog? OK, I don't really like rap, except the Beastie Boys, and so I am ashamed to say that I know all the words to that song. It is a pretty funny thing to hear me sing it! I can do both parts but I need tons of Tequila to get to the point where I wil do it, as I am the world's worst singer and even worse at rapping! You don't want me to choose between the kiddies and pick ONLY 10, do you!? It's almost impossible to narrow it down to 10, but I'll try (I think I already posted my personal Top 10 as far as non album tracks go in another thread, so I'll keep it to the album tracks this time - the 8 known Departures-tracks included): Here goes: "Go", "Footprints", "Lost", "Happy Hour", "Shadow", "Bugs To The Light", "Clock Face", "Say Something Wonderful", "Evade The Pain", "Censored Memories", "Nothing New"... ok, make this 11... Hey Missy, I meant to reply earlier, but last time I was online it was 4 in the morning and I was half asleep and unable to write anything. Actually, the only reason I did log in was because theafroshane was there and I thought I'd join him. Somehow there's something cool and special about 'meeting' on this board, even without saying/writing a single word. LOL, Jade! Glad I could make you laugh as hard as you have made me. I'm still giggling at the water ballet pic and your comments; thanks for posting. Now I have the image of John bursting out of his shirt like Incredible Hulk and turning green. Hehe! I'm convinced Blunty is working on the 'extending his legs and pointing his toes' thing currently in Ibiza or wherever and I'm sure we'll all be surprised once he's back in LaLaLand. I miss the funny YouTube videos too!! Oh, Jade, how terrible! My deepest sympathy for your great loss! Karma on your way too! It's lovely that you got to be so close though. Ohhh, we're gonna be soooo busy once we meet at one of the (hopefully) upcoming Garrison gigs... shoe-shopping... exchanging trivial knowledge... drinking tons of Tequila and rapping it all away afterwards. I'm dying to hear you sing 'Ain't nothing but a g thang, baby'. ;D By the way, I do a lovely rendering of Eminem's 'I still don't give a F*ck', getting better with each shot of Tequila (at least for those who can't avoid me rapping). Maybe they're testing something... Maybe they want to know how addict we are to this board and website to see a song on the site just for some hours Meeee, addicted to this board???... Okay, maybe a little bit...

Actually, the only reason I did log in was because theafroshane was there and I thought I'd join him. Somehow there's something cool and special about 'meeting' on this board, even without saying/writing a single word. Don't worry about it, Jade! No need for any "Public Apologies" here! I know what you mean that it's cool to "meet on the board without saying/writing a single word." It's kind of neat to think that at that moment, of all the people in the world, you are one of the ones on the board... I usually log out when the invisible user logs on though... LOL! I don't know why! It's like I'm embarassed or something to be so addicted to this board! ROFL, Missy! I'm convinced Blunty is working on the 'extending his legs and pointing his toes' thing currently in Ibiza or wherever and I'm sure we'll all be surprised once he's back in LaLaLand. I miss the funny YouTube videos too!! ROFL, Jade! Maybe Blunty can incorporate his "Dirty Dancing" into his next tour... Pointed toes and all! Hehe! I wonder what it would take to get them to put those vids back on YouTube??? Thank you for your kind words and Karma! They were truly meant! Your story of you and your sister really touched me and inspired me to try to spend more time with my sister. I'm certain it is hard for you even after the years. Thank you for sharing. Ohhh, we're gonna be soooo busy once we meet at one of the (hopefully) upcoming Garrison gigs... shoe-shopping... exchanging trivial knowledge... drinking tons of Tequila and rapping it all away afterwards. Oh, I can't wait! Looking for to hearing your Eminem and then after that we can do "Ain't nothing but a G thang" as a duet. I'll be Snoop and you can be Dre! Hehe! Maybe we can be the opening act for John... LOL! Maybe they're testing something... Maybe they want to know how addict we are to this board and website to see a song on the site just for some hours Meeee, addicted to this board???... Okay, maybe a little bit... LOL! I'm not addicted at all!

I don't know why! It's like I'm embarassed or something to be so addicted to this board! Yes, it's exactly that. And it always makes me smile when the invisible user logs on! They were truly meant! Your story of you and your sister really touched me and inspired me to try to spend more time with my sister. I'm certain it is hard for you even after the years. Thank you for sharing. It IS still hard after the years, but it is getting better as time goes by! Nothing ever broke me down this much and I'd lost faith in everything to begin with, but sooner or later it comes a point where you realize that all the time put in blame is energy wasted and won't change anything and the only way to hold on to is to let go and make peace with God and the world. I did and I feel fine. Oh, I can't wait! Looking for to hearing your Eminem and then after that we can do "Ain't nothing but a G thang" as a duet. I'll be Snoop and you can be Dre! Hehe! Maybe we can be the opening act for John... LOL! ;D ROFL! Not sure, though, if this is the right choice. May I suggest "Will A Little More Love Make It Right" for that matter??...

We should sing "Would a Little More Love Make it Right?" I wonder how many Jack and Cokes it would take to get John to sing with us. Changing the subject: Sorry for hogging the thread! Should I get back to why we like John??? I like John for answerting my silly questions!

Yes, it's exactly that. And it always makes me smile when the invisible user logs on! Haha! I'm shy! You are braver than I am! Oh, I'm terribly brave ... just look at this picture where I (far left) seem to have some serious interaction with 'the invisible user' going on (or maybe he's just rolling his eyes? who knows.. ;D) Oh, you are so right, Jade... We should sing "Would a Little More Love Make it Right?" I wonder how many Jack and Cokes it would take to get John to sing with us.Probably not as many shots as it would take you and me 'cause unlike the two of us HE can sing! ;D

Yes, you are brave... I wish I were as brave as you! I love that picture and wish I could have been there to meet you all! The first time I saw this pic, I noticed that you seemed to be engrossed in some intense conversation and wondered what you were talking about. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt... To me, he doesn't seem to be rolling his eyes, though admittedly, I am terrible at reading guys. Hehe! Oh, you are so right, Jade... We should sing "Would a Little More Love Make it Right?" I wonder how many Jack and Cokes it would take to get John to sing with us.Probably not as many shots as it would take you and me 'cause unlike the two of us HE can sing! ;D Hehe! Not only can I not sing, but also I am TOTAL CRAP. It will probably not take much Jack to get me drunk because I never drink whiskey as it throws me for a loop. I am a gin and vodka gal... Though I LOVE margaritas too!

Natalie Imbruglia - My God (on BBC Radio 2) I just did the same. WOW, these 2 songs were sounding really beautiful ... And didn't we know it all the time... "John has the highest voice" ... That's only one of the million things we love about him, right? Whom do you most fear you resemble? One of the Jonas brothers... maybe?? (... must have been those days relaxing in the South of France that have made him look like 20 again). ;D

www.youtube.com/watch?v=HfrIeGD-w10"Love is pure.... the only treasure" - I have to disagree at this point for Mister Garrison is a real treasure too! I just can't stop watching this and every time I do I get a big lump in my throat because it's rendered with so much sincerity and vulnerability. Genuinely beautifull vocals, great guitar playing as well. I always loved this song - as powerful a love-song as has ever been written - love it even more now that I've heard John's version that displays the overwhelming beauty of this musical shot of love and hope in every note and every lyrical phrase.
