 Don't want to go back to boring US! If only dome English bloke weren't playing in NYC, would drop by Spain to see Lucy and Berlin to see Jadie!! Aww, Europe can never be as exciting as the US on October 13th. I wish I could join you at Rockwood Music Hall. I'm sure it's gonna be fantastic! Looking forward to your report and pics. Hi Missy, I loved your latest posts, thank you so much for letting us know. You have no idea what I would give if I could be in NYC today and at the Rockwood tonight, joining you in seeing John perform. I'll be there with you in spirit, that's for sure. Have a blast and tell us how it was, some pictures would be lovely, too. WE DEPEND ON YOU!! Too bad I'm in such a hurry, so can't write anything decent right now (but hey, what's new...). AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Incredible and funny! So take number 2 on Missy being a total idiot around John Garrison! hahahah! This is hilarious, guys! So my friends bail on me and I feel like a total idiot walking in by myself. I pass the place the first time and get about a block past and realize I have to turn around and my feet are killing me because I am wearing my Alexander McQueen Union Jack boots that I ate mcaroni and cheese for a month to afford (the same ones that got caught in the tube in London)! LOL! So I walk in and the first face I see is John's smiling and I just stare blankly and walk on by like an Idiot and I realize instantly that I missed my chance to talk to him! Hehe! So I sit and the bar and get out my camera and order a drink and try to act cool but I'm a total dork! John goes on and about half way into the first song, my cell phone goes off... My ring tone is crickets and I hope not too many people heard! SOOOO SORRY, JOHN! I am an ass!
He played "So close" and I wanted to cry! It was just so beautiful! That song just is so special to me. I feel as if he took all the things that I have left unsaid and put them into song! And he did it without even knowing me. I wanted to cry!
My videos are total crap I think because some guy kept standing in front of me and walking by and of course, I have a new camera that I am trying to figure out... I will post them ASAP.
I lugged all of my Garrison albums all across Europe and back so I would have them with me in NYC in case I had the chance to ask him to sign... And this is the hilarious part! At the end, John's enterage starts to leave and I try to catch Pernille as she is the last one to walk out the door (Sidebar, she is even more beautiful in person) and I feel like I am interrupting the group. I don't remember what exactly I said but rambled something in my awful, slow southern drawl and my low voice that I hate about whether he had copies of Departures and they all look at me like I have lobsters crawling out of my ears. I said something to Afroshane about sorry for rambling in his thread. To John, I said something to the effect of how lovely it was and he said (of course in that beautiful accent) something about seeing the my videos on the board... But when he says board it sounds much sexier than when I say it... LOL! Anyway, by this point I felt too uncomfortable to ask for a picture and autograph so I bolted down the sidewalk in the other direction... LOL! Hate to see the expressionon his face if I make it to the All Asia Bar for round 3 of what will Missy to around John Garrison.. LOL!
That's about it for now... More later... Ahhhh!
As for the concert, it was absolutely beautiful! He has incredible talent! His music is just so lovely! Words can not express, how much it meant to me! My only complaints... Too short and I'm a total dork! Hahah!

amazing show.
thanks for traveling so far to support an artist you believe. was nice meeting you (as brief as it was).
sorry if we were preoccupied or short, we were trying to get an interview done for a website about the album and folks were unhappy about the cold outside etc.
Have fun in Boston. Ya'll will get your departures copies soon enough... less than a month!

Now I'll be smiling all day remembering this topic, but I'm sorry you can't get your autograph/pic with John, but maybe at All Asia Bar Have fun! Oh Missy, I LOVE your recap of your experience last night! You were way braver than I would have been! Especially without your friends to stand by your side!! Pooey on them for bailing!! I would NEVER have had the nerve to approach anyone, even Penille! I probably would have been in the rest room trying not to toss my cookies, if you know what I mean!
