Just had to laugh about my dad who is behaving like a little 5 year old at the moment... he is working at the Nürburgring (where they are on this weekend) atm and calls my mum every few minutes because something exciting is going on... he called her to let her hear how much noise one car makes... he called to ask if she wants Claudia Schiffers autograph... and so on... he is soooo excited about it... What a nice story!! I loved it ;D

I don't know whether to push her, and make her do it..........or leave her alone!! Maybe when she gets older, she'll change her mind..........we will see! I've never been to F1 LIVE, but have watched a little on TV. It's one of the only sports my husband likes to watch! That's a great story about your dad!! Sounds like he's having a GREAT time!!! How old is your daughter? I personally wouldn't push her into anything... I know sooo many people who got pushed into playing the piano... they stopped at one point and regret it now big time... Maybe try talking to her friends doing the gymnastics already... maybe they can convince her... or just tell her to go there once and see what happens... usually really shy kids expect the very worst to happen so they need to see that there is nothing to be afraid of and everybody is really nice... maybe going there just once helps your daughter to realise taking ballett classes isn't something to be afraid of... maybe there is even one friend around to come along with her so that she isn't alone for that first time!? Yes, I think he enjoyed himself... he is now back home... he got offered a FREE ticket to see them drive there but as there is no accomodation left anywhere near he had to turn down that offer... sad... he'll watch it on TV not the same, I know... I'd like to see the F1 live, too but tickets are always soooo expensive and accomodation hard to find... maybe sometime in the future I'll have the money LOL NO, never left the christmas stuff up till easter... Have you ever been to a concert of a person/band you didn't like too much just because a friend of yours dragged you along?

I agree with Kati. I was a shy kid too... Well I'm still pretty shy now but anyway... I would tell her that she should try it once and if she doesn't like it then she doesn't have to do it again. Odds are she'll get there and she'll like it. I am one of those who was forced to take a lot of things as a kid. Some of them I liked and some I hated. I LOATHED piano!! I hated soccer and swim team. I did love art class, ballet, tennis and horse riding camp though. You just never know what kids will like and what they won't like. The one thing that I wish is that my parents would have let me have a guitar and take guitar lessons. I still tease them about that.... That they made me do all the stuff I hated but didn't let me do the one thing I really wanted... To become the next Jimmy Page... LOL!
I've never had a christmas tree of my own... I always go to my parent's house for christmas so I have never decorated any of my apartments.
Have you ever been fishing?

Have you ever wondered if woman in Europe have to buy both pieces of a bikini swimsuit and just choose to only wear the bottoms?

Yes I have when I found that the price is for both parts, but in the most of cases, shops sell every part, not the complete bikini.
Have you ever been bitten by a jellyfish?

My mother wanted me to take piano, but I just wasn't interested! I have always regretted missing that opportunity though! And JB mentioned that he hated piano lessons too, and now, I wonder what would have happened if his mother hadn't forced him to take piano lessons!! I agree with your feelings about your parents not letting you learn guitar though! My husband wanted to learn violin but, his macho homophobic father thought it was too sissy! That's a sad predicament,......... to be put down for wanting to learn!!! Repeat Choco Taco question!

I may ask you for your professional opinion on some other related issues sometime..........if you don't mind!! Nah, of course I don't mind just ask if there's any question and it's an education kind of thing that I study... according to dictionaries I have the right translation would be "pedagogy" BUT usually nobody outside Germany knows what it is... if I then say "education" they all think I'll become a teacher and that's NOT the case... I'll be dealing with educational things that happen outside school... social work, early learning, advanced training,... so I can actually do quite a lot when I'm done

The last question was by Kati:
Have you ever been to a concert of a person/band you didn't like too much just because a friend of yours dragged you along?
Nope............usually I'm the one doing the dragging! But I haven't had to drag out anyone since highschool!
Have you ever liked a band that NONE of your friends liked, so you had to admire them in silence?

So now I have to go google a choco taco and taco John's! I love Tex-Mex! Can't get enough of it!
I have never stepped on a slug. Though I have accidentally stepped on a bee once. Not fun!
Have you ever played sports with someone you were dating or your spouse?
