WOW! She's very pretty! Does she have a name? What model is she and does she have a cool story like Lucille? She looks like a '57 Gibson, maybe??? I don't know much about guitars, so sorry about the silly question. She has a beautiful shape, color and (most importantly) sound! BTW, did you purposely match your scarf to her? (Giggles like little girl) i will pass on your compliments to HIM. He is a DeArmond Guild MT 75 and yes there is a great story to this. My friend (who shall remain nameless) was working in a music shop. I went their and saw this 2nd hand guitar and thought it looked great. I asked to borrow it for the Budapest rehearsal I was on my way to. It sounded fantastic so the next day I went back to ask how much my mate wanted and he wasn't there. He had been sacked. So I called him and he said I should keep hold of it as he had never put the guitar on the shops system. He had been very unfairly sacked for someone elses mistake and was very angry so I did what he said and have kept hold of it ever since. Please note, I am not a thief. This guy was very obviously unfairly sacked and was used as a scape goat so the shop deserved it. Oopsie! Please pass on my apologies for mistaking HIM for a girl... In my defense, HE is very pretty for a boy! That is a cool story... Possibly cooler that BB's Lucille Story! No judgement here as, unlike you, I am an actual thief. I stole a Barbie outfit from my foreign exchange student friend at a slumber party when I was 5. Hehe!

PS: How about this: I'll do the washing up for you (gloves optional), so that you'll find the time to answer our questions? ;D yes please. Or buy me a dishwasher I'd rather do it personally, but if you preferred using technology, I'd buy you one (no sh!t!!). Just make sure it doesn't get left on a tourbus, better yet, submit your home-address so that the thing can be delivered properly. ;D LOL @ this thread... Evidently, "washing up" has a very different connotation in England than in the US! Here it means bathing one's body not cleaning dishes! HEHE! BTW, Jade, if being John's personal assistant entails anything similar to what Jason Mraz's assistant has to deal with (as seen in Jason Mraz's vidoe below), I'm outy... As much as I love John, you will have no competition from me! www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnTIRto64K0&feature=channel_pageP.S. Sorry, John, for my silly ramblings on the Ask John a Question thread... Last time, I promise! Serious questions form now on... You have my permission to smite me! OK that sounded bad but I didn't mean it to be... I think I'm digging a hole for myself here. Anyway, will you plan any US gig dates other than the October 13th one?

Okay, I've been doing some serious thinking and I certainly don't want to be in this guy's shoes as far as assistance goes... but in the case of Mr Garrison it has only ever been about dirty dishes, so that's still ok with me.

I'm curious about the end in Happy Hour too Where did you record that? Looks like the sound of a pub or something like that. Is Marisela who sings the high notes? The end of happy hour was recorded at the College Of St Rose in Albany, NY. In the school theatre. Marisela and Sally both are singing on the outro. The very high bits over the very end and sirens is actually me. I have a very girlie falsetto. Did you imagine "Happy Hour" exactly and entirely the way it appears on "Cosmos" when you wrote it, or did some of the ideas, specifically those at the end of the song, come later while recording or mixing it? It is pretty much how I imagined. The end bit was originally going to be snippets of the whole album but the sound of the orchestra packing away and the sound of NYC outside my window was more hypnotic. The brass band bit came out way more professionally then expected. It was meant to be a slightly out of tune school band (think Lisa's school orchestra in Simpsons) but they were just too d**n good. So I kept the laughter of me dropping the baton in the recording to make it a bit less serious. I have now listened to Happy Hour about 75 times trying to figure out all the ending bits and I have to say "Ahh... Thanks!" A cartoon lightbulb goes off over Missy's head. I didn't realize it was a recording of the sounds outside your apartment. I had been wondering about the siren... Sirens are always different in foreign countries. Oh, I'm glad to know this about the brass part; it turned out so well, I didn't know they were students. I really thought they were professionals. I also thought you had secretly recorded the people coming in the studio, and that the laughter and talking was a separate track from the brass. Haha! Now I see! Hmm... Was the laughter and out of tune ending in "Spinning Wheel" by Blood Sweat and Tears perhaps the catalyst for your Happy Hour ending idea?? As funny as the "Spinning Wheel " ending is when one of them says, "That wasn't too good guys," and then they all break out in laughter, I'm glad that "Happy Hour" ending is not as out of tune as "Spinning Wheel." This is a nice little sketch... Do you draw? Love the cover of Departures. What a great picture. That is a beautiful building... Those tiles are incredibly lovely. They almost look like turn-of-the-centuty subway tiles... Is that a historic building in old London? P.S. Sorry again for my long-winded, random, stream of consciousness in the "Ask John a Question" thread!!!

Is it a colored version of that last pic? Or was it taken originally in b&w? What the voice says at the end of "Go", from minute 05'09'' to 06'15''? No idea what the words are but just the rhythm of sentences reminds me of last lines of Dreamstealers ("...Cause you promised me, and I believed, I believed you in all your lies, all your promises..." or something like that, sorry, difficult song to get the lyrics by ear ). Just curiosity This question is not mine: do you like Quentin Tarantino? A girl said that Footprints has a very Tarantino sound, above all, at the 2nd fragment of the instrumental part (from minute 2'58''). What's a "bridge" on a song??? I've read you saying that some time ago... Thanks for your patience ;D ;D ;D

Does your family ever attend your gigs? If so, do they make you nervous (anymore than staring fans with video cameras that is )?... Do they ever heckle you or is that only your friends? Questions:
Do you like links courses? yes I love links courses but they are tough. How long have you been playing golf and what is your handicap? Do any of the other boys in Blunty's band play, and if so, did y'all have any time to play while y'all were on tour? Have you ever played The Old Course? I think were I 20 now I would be a producer to be honest. Sorry for being nosy on this one but my only question is, "WHY???" I'm so very, very happy that you're not a producer! Your music is absolutley beautiful! I am so excited that I discovered it... (Thank you, Blunty! Without you, I wouldn't have found it)!!! Budapest and Garrison solo music has meant a lot to me... More than I could ever express! ;D What's with all the random stuff at the studio? LOL! Mannequin, Disco ball... I swear I thought I saw a pic that had action figure toys in it... Or maybe I have watched too much seinfeld...

LOL! I was going to ask about that toy over mixing table as well! LOL! O.K., at least now I know I wasn't seeing things... Did you notice the candles too??? Hehe! It's like playing "Where's Waldo" or one of those "find-the-objects-in-the-picture" kiddie games in the "Highlights" magazine at the doctor's office... ;D ;D
