LOL, Kerpea! On behalf of my fellow southerners, I apologize!!! We are an odd lot! I guess that as odd men out, you and I kindred spirits then... I've found that in a way there's something fun about being the odd man out; things are never boring and there are always funny social differences.
BTW, changing the subject to other artists, did anyone happen to get any video of Bird at the Copenhagen gig? Just curious... I love that name... I don't know if I told y'all, I'm "Birdie" on James's board by the way... "John's Bird" to be exact... And I'm "Beardy's Babe" on Karl's Board... Speaking of which, is it just me or do y'all hear crickets on Karls board? I tried to start a couple of games to get the place hopping but Karl had "bagpuss" take them off... LOL! I felt really bad about that. Oh well.

Oh, I didn't even know Karl had a board!! Although it doesn't sound too fun, maybe I'll check it out anyway..........I dunno. I'm glad to hear that you're Johns Bird; I've read your posts and had no idea it was you!! I don't care for James' Board too much............there is a cold breeze anytime someone new tries to post something. I only go there to see if there's any new news about James and the next album. Every now and then I'm compelled to write something...........but usually I just read and go! John's board is the best!! Everyone is friendly and nice and John himself is an amazing person and friendly enough to answer some questions! This is my happy place ;D!!

This is my happy place too! I still can't believe that John actually answers questions himself!!! This place is a lot of fun and everyone is so friendly. I find James's board a little cold as well and Karl's is just too quiet... People don't post there very often. Here's the link to Karl's board. You can also link to it from his website. karlbrazil.com/forum/

I think it's great that although we're from different corners of the world we all get along quite nicely and not even the language barriers seem to be a problem. And after all, as yet we've always managed to get our minds out of the gutter when the whole thing threatened to become too naughty! ;D Personally, I've never been into messageboarding until I heard "You're Beautiful" for the first time a couple of years ago and then shortly after stumbled across Blunty's board. By now, I only visit James' board as to see if John's thread is still on the 1st page in the Misc.- section or if it needs a bump. What I still find a bit odd is that there are no people from the UK among the active posters here, other than the man himself. Well, their loss...

missalabama: as you can have noticed I'm a big fan of Karl (probably the bigest one ;D) and I know Bagpuss and all the things she does for Karl's website. I spoke with her few hours ago about your games and she told me that you posted your games in the wrong forum and, as she had some problems to move the messages from one forum to another (she could only edit or delete threads but not move them), she deleted them. I think you can post them in the "off-topic" forum if you want and they will not be deleted

Thanks for the info, Kitine. I am a big fan of Karl's too.... Actually of James and all of his boys, really!!!! It's funny that I almost put the games in "Off-Topic" but I decided to put it in general... When it got deleted, I felt really bad, like I had offended Karl for talking about other stuff than his drumming! I was just trying to get the place hopping... It just seems too quiet in there... People just don't post very often there. I'm not sure why because he has tons of fans.
By the way, how was the Ben's Brother gig and are you going to see him with Feeder?
I LOVE James.... he's how I found out about John and Karl too... Though I have found that on James's board, sometimes the debates get a little heated. I usually go over there just to check on any news of the boys and I don't post there much anymore.

Same here! This board really is a happy place and it's fun to visit. I think it's great that although we're from different corners of the world we all get along quite nicely and not even the language barriers seem to be a problem. And after all, as yet we've always managed to get our minds out of the gutter when the whole thing threatened to become too naughty! ;D I think exactly the same thing: it's always a pleasure to have a walk around here and I'm looking forward to meeting some of you in July 2nd. By now, I only visit James' board as to see if John's thread is still on the 1st page in the Misc.- section or if needs a bump. ;D ;D What I still find a bit odd is that there are no people from the UK among the active posters here, other than the man himself. Well, their loss... I was thinking exactly the same thing the other day. As you maybe know, I'm French but also Spanish (born in France but Spanish blood) and I remember that first time I heard John's music and read later that he got a lot of success in Spain with Budapest, I understood it perfectly. I noticed that each country has its proper kind of pop music, Spanish people are not going to like French pop music and French people are probably not going to like Spanish pop music: there's something very different between pop music from each country. Budapest "sounded" very Spanish for me. Above The Cosmos "sounds" more American for me. I'm not sure to explain very clearly what I want to explain ... To sum up: maybe John's sound "fits" better to Spanish, German or American people than to English people.

People just don't post very often there. I'm not sure why because he has tons of fans. Don't worry Miss, Karl is always very glad to speak about other things than his drumming, believe me! He loves to speak about football for example ;D Karl's website IS very quiet actually, I agree with you, but it's due to the fact that Karl is a freelance drummer and it's very difficult to follow him. Then, when you don't have news from someone, you forget him with the time. Just have a look at what's happening on the official James' message board since the end of the tour: you have less and less people posting there. Karl has tons of fans but many of them are very ephemeral ones. Not many are ready to follow him as James' fans are able to follow James for example. In drum's world Karl is really appreciated but drummers aren't really used to support each other through message boards. I really would like to find a way to make Karl's website more "alive" but except the solution that consist to follow him everywhere and share my reviews and pictures with you all, I don't have another idea and the problem is that Karl doesn't give a lot of information about what he's going to do in the next months, I always find the information through magazines or other friends from drum's world (easier for me because I'm a drummer also!). Not easy ...

By the way, how was the Ben's Brother gig and are you going to see him with Feeder? Ben's Brother gig was brilliant and Karl was amazing, as always. He is so kind, sweet, ... perfect ... well, I don't need to add that I'm deeply in love I'll probably going to see him with Feeder on 1st August in Folkestone but before, there's another event where I'm going to see him but shhhhhh, it's a secret You'll have all the news next WE when I'll post Karl's diary of July ;D (I must keep some scoop for Karl's website ;D)

OMG ! she managed to bring Karl here too?!!! Kitine, you're soooooo a desperate case! Well, for my part, i will definitively say that my favorite singers are James Blunt (what a surprise you will say;D) and Michael Jackson. After that, i love pop/rock bands like U2, Coldplay, the Verve, Keane... and i listen too some RnB singers at my lost time ;o)
