Sorry for the radio silence - I just got back home from a short trip over the weekend, enjoying the sun and the snow, so I'm a bit late... anyhoo: A thrilling, tuneful and HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! Hope you all did celebrate the beginning of the new decade in style - well, I did! "Decadence at all events", LOL ;D Thanks for the New Year's wishes, Lucy, Gray and Loraline! It's quiet in here, where is everyone?? Missing Missy, and Kitine, Napsi, Kati, Kerpea, Devlin, Flakie, Nika... - Berlin is completely snowed under, kind of drowning deeply in the snow, hope YOU are not and that we get to hear from you. Hope 2010 will be great for all and everyone here gets to see as many of John's gigs as possible! Cheers to that! Let's start on the 22nd of January in London. Who's in??

Missing Missy, and Kitine, Napsi, Kati, Kerpea, Devlin, Flakie, Nika... - Berlin is completely snowed under, kind of drowning deeply in the snow, hope YOU are not and that we get to hear from you. I wonder, too... Hope 2010 will be great for all and everyone here gets to see as many of John's gigs as possible! Cheers to that! Let's start on the 22nd of January in London. Who's in?? As a) I had a look at my bank account and b) I have realised that there will be 4 exams in February and I have not studied for them at all, I won't be there. Although I'd love to...

Been missing you too! Been missing all you girlies! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Celebration! I'm finally back home along with 10 extra pounds and an empty wallet with maxed-out credit cards! It was great to see family, friends and folks I haven't seen since high school! My Little Sis, bro-in-law and I went to Vegas for new year. It was my first time there. Man, that is one CRAZY place. Sis got me to put my feminist streak aside and go to the Playboy Club... We ladies got in free... HAAHAH! I would never believe it myself except that we have photographic evidence. I seriously stuck out like a sore thumb in that place. My wardrobe is evidently way too conservative for vegas. LOL! Anyway, I've missed chatting with you gals and I'm glad to be back here! Hope all of your holidays were as fun as mine! Happy New Year, everyone! I hope to see y'all on Jan. 20.... I'm trying to work it out... We'll see! Who is going?

WOOOOHOOOO... G D to see you back, Missy! My Little Sis, bro-in-law and I went to Vegas for new year. It was my first time there. Man, that is one CRAZY place. My wardrobe is evidently way too conservative for vegas Blimey, the Playboy Club in Las Vegas for New Year ... that will take some beating! ;D Never been to Vegas, Baby... one day! Glad you had such a great time. Wardrobe? I thought there wasn't that much wardrobe needed when staying in Vegas, LOL. Don't all the girls wear dresses that are barely there and would fit into a clutch after taking them off? Did you buy new shoes??? I hope to see y'all on Jan. 20.... I'm trying to work it out... We'll see! Who is going? Fingers crossed for you, Missy, that you will make it to London in January! I'll be in London on Friday, 22nd, and from the looks of things will probably have to do some sightseeing in Coventry the next day *cough*... unless Coventry City comes up with an additional date for a football match in the meantime or someone announces something musicallywise that can't be missed. As a) I had a look at my bank account and b) I have realised that there will be 4 exams in February and I have not studied for them at all, I won't be there. Although I'd love to...

Hey Ladies...and Gents...I'm here. Just really busy lately...I'm trying to align myself for a promotion at work so I've lost some contact with the outside world.
Missy...I am soooooo GREEN about Vegas! I have never been but have heard the shopping is to DIE FOR! ;D ;D ;D
I'm glad everyone had a Safe and Happy New Years...the only thing exciting about my New Years was that my son won a meet and greet with and ex-American Idol contestant (Matt Guirad - Season 8) during an NBA basketball game.
Happy New Year to everyone!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Don't all the girls wear dresses that are barely there and would fit into a clutch after taking them off? Did you buy new shoes??? Thanks! Wish you could have been there to shoe shop with me! Maybe John will announce a Vegas gig and we can finally all meet there and you will have your first trip to Vegas, Jadey! Hint... Hint... JOHN! HAHAH! Yes those gals in Vegas wear short, short dresses... Thought I'm not sure they are technically dresses... They are more like just shirts... LOL! Yes, I got some GREAT purple, suede, fringed, short, DIOR boots... Half-off at Neiman's! WOOHOO! Thanks! Go, You for getting to go to both! I'm trying.... Still not sure yet... Keep you posted! Fingers Crossed! Anyone trying for Canada, by the way??? By the way, on a random note, if you are in the Coventry/Warwickshire area, Coughton Court in Warwickshire is the home of my ancestors... Of course, because everything went to the first male son, my ancestors didn't inherit anything and had to go to the colonies in the early 1700's... LOL! As a) I had a look at my bank account and b) I have realised that there will be 4 exams in February and I have not studied for them at all, I won't be there. Although I'd love to... TOO! Sorry, Gray! Happy New Year to everyone!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D Glad you had a great New Year, Keri! That's great for you son! How fun! If you get a chance to go to Vegas, you should definitely take it. It is the most bizarre and fascinating place I think I have ever been! It's like Epcot Center at Disney World... Except loaded on CRACK and with adult entertainment everywhere! The architecture is off-the-wall-tacky, just a classical architect's worst nightmare, and a random mix of every style imaginable... but somehow it is half-way OK because it is Vegas! What is amazing is the gargantuan scale of everything. I think that each hotel probably encompasses about an entire NYC block on its own, if not two. It takes ages to just get to the next hotel down the street and inside the casinos, it is easy to get lost because everything starts to look the same and there are no windows or landmarks. The most fun thing is to people watch though. New Year's Eve was hilarious and sort of sad too... Some couple sitting beside us at a club had randomly gotten married the night before. All the girls were basically wearing bikinis and heels and by the end of the night they were all barefooted with their stilettos in their hands. We saw some girl throw up all over a slot machine, then a HAZMAT team came to clean it up and 30 minutes later another person was playing that machine... Seriously makes you think twice about what you touch in public. We also saw some guy who had alcohol poisoning and had to be taken away on a gurney by the Emergency Medical Technician crew. My brother-in-law saw several girls using the urinals in the men's room! Last but not least... The most important thing, in fact: the shopping is amazing, Kerpea! Of course, it's NOT Paris or NYC but VERY GOOD! I fell in love with an Hermes "Kelly" bag but it costs about 5 month's salary so needless to say it didn't go home with me! And that's the end of my latest novel before John kicks me off for talking too much... ;D How much did you miss me and my long-winded posts, John? That is a rhetorical question, of course! HAHAH! ;D Ironically, I am very quiet in person... but get me behind a keyboard and I become Garrison Keillor! SORRY!

Wow Missy, sounds like the films! LOL Talking about shopping, here sales start today, ha ha ha!!! Maybe I'll go for a walk, trying to get a PlayStation 3 with a good price (crossed fingers). I don't like Wii at all..... Sorry to read you're not going to the concert, Gray But I wish you all the luck with your exams

Ah, Missy, reading your post makes me want to go to Vegas again!
by the way, yes, I have thought about going to Canada as it's doing the semester break... but the flight is so expensive and I think everybody would say I'm nuts if I told them that I want to go to Canada to see John playing.
Thanks Lucy! I think I'll need lots of luck as I am too lazy to study.
@jade I guess you will not only do sightseeing in Coventry, but also attend a gig there... have fun!!

Sorry for the lack of participation in here lately girls! I have cut way back on the alcohol consumption, and as a result have become a much more boring and less talkative person!!! LOL!
Anyway, it has been great to read about everyones holiday excursions!! My holiday was quiet, but lovely! Everyone was snowed in, so all holiday parties were canceled and I got stuck with a refrigerator stuffed full of food and only us to eat it all!
I especially enjoyed Missy's review of Vegas, as unfortunately, I lived there for 13 years............don't ask!! But I laughed and I am definitely on board for a Vegas meet, if John ever plays there!! It would be a fantastically great time!!
And just for the record, I have never worn high heels with a bikini..........EVER!! ;D
