Never far from me Any time I feel low I just don't know how you know You are never far from me You are never far from me
Once again, there goes the phone How could you possibly know
You are never far from me You are never far from me
Before the time that you go There is something you should know You will always be in me You are never far from me

Mister Garrison really knows how to write (and sing) a lovesong... so beautiful. Every time I listen to this song I can't help but think of the words written in the credits for "Above The Cosmos": "This record would not have been possible without: ..... Mum and New York City".A very proud Mum I imagine... as she should be..

I'm sure you all have seen this beautiful footage John posted on his Facebook page, still I thought it should make an appearance on this board too. I think the images go extremely well together with the song and I thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Sooo cute and funny too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tY964r5PC6EThank you for sharing, John!

Hello Dorci and welcome to the board! I think your English is really good and your interpretation of the lyrics too I think most of us will agree this is the underlying thought of the words. x loraline

Hi Larry, as far as I know there is no sheet music for Never Far From Me... I figured out the melody John sings (it's quite easy actually, but a year ago I thought I was tone-deaf, so for me it was quite an achievement ) and my piano teacher then figured out almost the whole song, except for one chord she wasn't sure of. Apparently it's just the few chords you hear before he starts singing, and then they are repeated. I'm no good at writing down music, but I could try... Do you have a youtube account? I could also try to make a kind of tutorial and upload it for you, maybe that would be easier.

i actually dont im sorry. Maybe you could just write down the names of the chords and or what notes they're comprised of. shouldn't be tough since its only a couple chords. For example:
c (c,e,f) or whatever. even if u dont know the names of the chords just the notes that would be super helpful. thank you so much gray!

Okay, I'll try. I have absolutely no idea if that makes sense:
L - left hand; R - right hand; I write "/" for 2 notes played at the same time. I write a dash if you don't play anything in the left hand, and an underscore if you hold the note(s) you've played. The right hand starts by playing the E above Middle C, the left hand plays below Middle C. The second line may be a bit confusing as it doesn't show exactly which notes are played simultaneously... basically, the left hand plays E and A while the right hand plays an E, you hold the E/A while the right hand plays D-sharp; then the right hand plays D-sharp and the left hand simultaneously plays E/H; then the right hand plays an E; and finally another E in the right hand simultaneously with an E Major Chord in the left hand. I'm not totally sure about the end of the first line, and, as I already said, there's a note somewhere which my piano teacher couldn't figure out.
R - E B G# E B D# D# H E/A F#/A G# E/G# G# E/G# F# F# E E L - - - E_____ E________E ---------- E ------ E______E___E
R - E D# D# E---- E L-E/A__E/H______Emaj
I hope it's not too confusing!
