Female voice for a duet

I've just written in another thread that I love when a female voice and a male voice are singing together.

Besides us;), Marisela and Rachael Gray (from Kanute), who do you like to sing with John? Female voice,ok?

I don't know now ,nice way for starting the post , but I'll say ...PJ Harvey ,because she's one of my favourite female singers. And we could say the song, it can be one of Budapest or John's. Or a cover.

And I'd like a song with Kristen May from Vedera. But now I can choose a song

I miss Budapest , thinking of two voices singing together, I've just remember Chris Pemberton who made back vocals in Budapest.

lol... would be fun to have all the boardies sing together with John... not sure which song that would be, but since we already have a big list of lyrics on the boards, we can hardly go wrong on that part

I know not all lyrics of all demos are there yet, so I hope a certain somebody can find some of his limited time in his heavily packed schedule to send me some back....

tricky question. I prefer male voices really. Don't know why. just always have. I like Alanis morrisette and Cat Power and Rhiana is very sexy but I'm not sure I'd like to sing with them.

Aww, John, don't you think you could jump over your own shadow for a duet with Alanis Morissette!?!? She did such a beautiful cover of the Police song "King of Pain" - I think not only is this song a lyrical masterpiece but also a great choice for a duet.... I so can hear you sing: "that's my soul up there..." - just a thought...

I'll be honest...I don't really care for duets. It is really hard to find two voices that are perfectly matched. Most of the time the female voice overpowers the male voice. I heard the duet that James did with Sheryl Crow...and I hated it. I did not think that their voices sounded good together.

As for John...I really think his music is way to intimate to bring in another voice. But hey...if he really wants a female voice...he can call me ;D I'll even do it for free I think we would harmonize well together JK...LOL!
