Well, I woke up yesterday AM to find my Canary that I had for only a year had died over night and is lying on the bottom of his cage. I put him in a box, and he's in my freezer as I had no time to bury him. Threw his cage in the kitchen and went to work. PJ was old when I got em, so I think it was only a matter of time til he did die. Sad still.....
I got home at 6:30pm, and stopped another bird owner in my "hood" and told her about PJ, and she told me that one of the dog people in the "hood" found a yellow Parakeet on the street today, and did I lose a bird. "Well I didn't lose a bird in the sense of it flying off, but I did lose a bird". I get to my door....another neighbor stops me to ask if I lost a bird. "No, but I heard about the bird being found". I check my my space, another neighbor asking if I lost a bird. "No"....By the 4th neighbor I said, "Dude, just give me the d**n bird" He went and got me the bird. She's Yellow, just like my canary, AND she was found in MY parking spot! (too tired to fly away) I named her Karma: (She's a girl, I think, as she has stripes on her head, it means she is still a baby. She is under a year old. Chirps up a storm, and is healthy! (I am sure stressed out from hell)...I scrubbed PJ's cage, and she is now in a HUGE cage with toys and 2 types of food to pick from. I have 3 birds already, so she has plenty of company. My house sounds like a pet store now!
