www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiZtTglmRlsWOW, nearly 27,000 views within only 2 months - that's more than 400 views per day on average. Obviously it's very popular in South America, though I guess I've been viewing it more than a hundred times too, it's that good. Me too! I can't get enough of it either! Woo Hoo! WOW! Go, John! Maybe cold coffee should be single no. 2? Oh, I wouldn't mind if Cold Coffee was picked as Single No.2, it's my favourite of the album actually, along with Go. Though I still think I Leave On Friday would be the perfect choice for a single, because it is such a catchy and uplifting tune and has this killer guitar part that blows me away again and again (plus I have an entire video for this song worked out in my head, which (at times quite annoyingly ) is now playing on my mind everytime I'd listen to the song). I agree that "I leave on Friday" is very radio friendly for a single though "Cold Coffee" is just absolutely beautiful! And too sad for words! It breaks my heart every time! I would like to see this video in your head, Jadey! I vote you as director! ;D Actually, I have always have a video in my head for this one too! I wonder if ours are both different than what John has in mind though? Cold Coffee took 5 years. I wrote the music way back, but the lyrics were not right at the time and actually about something completely different. It was while in NYC that the story suddenly made sense for that song. I may post the instrumental demo online one day. Keep a look out. Still eager to hear the instrumental demo for Cold Coffee. So, in case you're reading this, John, I know you're always busy as hell (and I seriously doubt this will change once the baby is there) yet, I'd be super happy if you posted the demo online one day. Please, please, please. OK. will dig it out the vault. ;D Can't wait to hear this!

In my "I Leave on Friday" video, John is continually traveling but he can never get to his final destination and he has really bad travel scenarios... He's always packing and unpacking at new hotels, going through security lines, having to take his shoes off, his belt buckle makes the metal detector go off, he gets sniffed by security dogs and frisked by really fat old men, his shampoo bottle is too big for the carry on size, he hits his head on the overhead bin, he can't fit his luggage in the overhead bin, he has to sit by annoying Miami guys and old women who hit on him, his luggage gets lost and his guitar case gets busted, he accidentally leaves his passport at the hotel, and he argues with taxi drivers... Meanwhile there's a beautiful girl who's trying to reach him. She's racing in her car to the airport and running down the sidewalk to the hotel and through the airport lobby but she keeps missing him. Last scene... He's looking out the airplane window and she's sitting in her car watching the plane take off.
How does your "I leave on Friday" video go, Jadie?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=BiZtTglmRlsYEY, the Cold Coffee live recording is up to nearly 36,300 views!!! GREAT! Now, if everyone who viewed this came to John's upcoming shows, that would be quite a crowd (... or one really bored guy )

Thanks for sharing, Lucy, it's nice. I'm not into the Sims, not at all, but I still like your version very much. And 'Cold Coffee' is just a genuinely beautiful song. Kings Cross will never look the same again...

More than 50 000 views, yay!!!! ;D ;D ;DSame song, different location: Copenhagen June 2009 - My first ever John Garrison concert and the first time I got to hear 'Cold Coffee' live and in its entirety ('Departures' wasn't even released by then). Needless to say I really loved John's performance of this song and all the others for that matter, highly addictive & profoundly joyful. Hope he'll be back in 'frontman mode' at some point. Please, please, please. OK. will dig it out the vault. ;D "Cold Coffee took 5 years"... and diggin' the instrumental demo out the vault seems to be taking just as long... I'm sorry, I couldn't resist.... but it would be SOOOOO nice to hear it... Maybe one day!?!?
