Yeah, I've never ridden a snowmobile either, but I had neighbors, while I was growing up that had some. Don't know why I never went over and asked for a ride! The farmers here used to use them to check the fences during the winter to make sure no cows were getting out, but now no body seems to use them. Must have been a phenomenon of the 80's! I have never seen a tornado in person, but I've talked to people who have!! Although I have always had reoccurring nightmares about them since I was a child, even all the years that I lived in Nevada where they don't have any!!! Right now we live directly east of the Tonganoxie Divide. I'm not sure exactly what that is, but the guys at the national weather service in KC tell us that the storms coming from the west, hit it and split in two and go north and south of us!! That is an awesome and much appreciated natural phenomenon!!! There were Tornados on the ground just west of us last evening and a couple of families lost their homes, but nobody lost their life!!! So lucky to be alive!! Tonight there is rotation about 25 miles northe of us in St.Joseph but nothing on the ground yet! I was just there (St. Joseph) this morning buying a new computer monitor because ours finally went out...LOVE my new monitor. Many advances in technology since I bought my last one!! Hope you guys are ok down there too! I have friends in Tulsa so I always watch the weather in Oklahoma also! When we first moved here 4 years ago my husband was under a tornado while he was delivering at work but it didn't touch down. He is from Nevada so he was clueless as to what all the sirens were going off for, and just continued to try to deliver. He works for Federal Express, so when people asked him why he wasn't taking cover he just replied "The World on Time!!!" They told him that he must be getting paid ALOT!, which of course he isn't!!! He stopped to buy beer on the way home and people asked him if he was afraid of the tornadoes and he replied "when God decides to take me, I'll be too drunk to care!". He's a bit of a comedian!! ;D Have you ever seen earthworms at night? (They have an unusual night time ritual that we have recently discovered!)

No...I don't suppose I have.
We survived another night of severe storms...sometimes I wonder if it is worth it for us to stay in Oklahoma. My husband recently re-enlisted for his last time (5 years till retirement...and we pray that he can continue to avoid Iraq) and we considered trying to get orders one last time...but when you consider our son and school and my career...we decided to just leave it up to fate...but I'll be honest, there is no worse feeling than squatting in your bathtub with a mattress over your heads, praying you don't die and if you live you will have nothing left...not sure I like that too much.
Have you ever eaten a pomegranate?

We should just all build underground houses.....what do you think? Is there any great place to live that is free of some sort of natural disaster? East coast and southern states get hurricanes, westcoast has droughts and earthquakes, northern and mountainous states have extreme harsh winters, and everyplace has obnoxious, annoying people! No place is really great! Life is more precious than anything anyway.
The Military is a great career to retire from, but ....Yeah, I would be terrified during war times like this!! I hope that works out ok for you. My dad was an Airforce man, so I have alot of respect for military people. I almost joined at one point.
Yes, I have enjoyed pomegranate. They grow well in Nevada and our neighbor had a pomegranate tree that overhung onto our property. The seeds are annoying though so I prefere juice. My Great Aunt makes pomegranate jelly!

Well yes I have devlin....won't you tell us about it? Yes, I'd be glad to!........When about 7 or 8 years old......I was sledding(I think it's called coasting in Europe...not sure...) with my dog 'Boss'. I was going down the hill and Boss was running after..........then tackled me........we rolled down the hill. It was fun and we were laughing (and barking). Later when I went back inside, my Mom exclaimed "What happened to your eye?!" and that was all there was to that story!!! I went to school the next day with a black eye! ;D
Have you ever had to rely on a stranger for help?

Sure...from anything like asking for directions to helping me change a flat tire. Have you ever been on some very good drugs (prescription of course)? I had my surgery this morning on my mouth...bone and skin grafting...and I don't remember anything...it seems that my husband took me to Lowe's to pick out a new gas grill, and it's all put together, and to Starbucks, and I called my Dad, and I changed my status on facebook twice...and I don't even remember it...to be honest, I may not remember this ;D Thank God for spell check!

Don't you remember anything at all? I didn't know know anesthesia could cause amnesia. But you're OK now, aren't you? I've never been on drugs, the stronger medicine I took was something against my neck-ache (if that word exists) but it wasn't something like marijuana. I'm totally against drugs (and against tobacco too). I prefer legal drugs: the music is my favorite one Have you ever had a bad experience in a flight?

@kerpea: I hope that you are recovering compfortably this morning! I have had surgery several times and have never had painkillers as effective as yours. What are they called so I can request that if I ever have surgery again?!! JK! Why do men always wanting to go shopping after surgery? My husband did something similar. We need to figure out a way for that work to OUR advantage!! ;DLol! To answer Lucy's question: I have had only one bad flight experience (not counting getting bumped off numerous times...My Dad was a pilot, so we always flew nonrevenue standby!!) One time I was flying Southwest Airlines,....they don't have assigned seats, you just sit where there is an open seat..., And I got up to use the restroom. When I came back, some guy had taken my seat and was sitting ON my things. We were almost the only passengers on the flight and were surrounded by numerous empty seats, but he wanted to take the only seat that had someones personal belongings there. I had to ask him to stand up so I could have my things back, which he did, but only grunted and didn't appoligize or anything! We didn't crash or anything but I vowed to never fly on a budget airline again! Have you ever been eating something and not paying attention, taken a bite, then suddenly realized that there must have been a bug or something on it because it just tastes horrible or bitter? ( That JUST happened to me.....cashews!!!)

Oh yes...many times...just the other day I was eating spinach and that happened. YUCK! Not sure what it was they gave me...I took two little blue pills then they gave me IV sedation. Now I am on Codine. It's all good...LOL! Still can't talk very well but they told me my smile will be better than Julia Roberts. ;D When I turned 30 (4 years ago) I got braces and have been on a mission ever since to fix my teeth since my parents couldn't afford it when I was a kid. I still have to have one more surgery to put in an implant. I have a missing tooth...genetic defect...not decay. I just never got the adult tooth so now I have a missing molar. After that, I hope I'll have a hollywood smile! ;D Have you ever won a prize in a drawing?

No but I won two fish goldfish at a school carnival. One of them they died the next day and the other lived for 5 years... go figure!
Sounds like someone got some nice drugs... Speaking of drugs, last Friday night, I spent 4 hours in the emergency room getting stitches in my finger and a tetanus shot- (be careful with kitchen knives kids)- It's weird how the novicaine works... You can't feel the pain when they are stitching you up but you can fel thr thread going through. Sadly, they didn't give me anything for the throbbing pain that came the following day and it felt like George Foreman punched me in the shoulder where they gave me the shot.
Have you ever had a "Pink Panty Pull-Down?" It's not something naughty, though too much of it could possibly lead to naughty things... Speaking of naughty things, I wonder how John's babies are doing...

No, I've never actually heard of it, but I'm assuming that it is a co'cktail. Sounds interesting............My sister-inlaw is a bartender, ;D I will ask her how to make it and if anyone is interested, I'll post it on the co'cktails thread so we can all try one at home??? Only if you want to though, no peer pressure!! Have you ever gone out with someone, just to make another person notice you?
