Hi! The gig was brilliant!!! Jade, I don't want to make you jealous, but he played for almost 2 hours. He played many song e.g. Abdicate  , parts of happy Hour and lots of covers (Eleanor Rigby (he got help with that one as he forgot the lyrics), American Life in the Summertime etc.). Smurf sang as well! I luckily met Kitine - was great to see you!! she took lots of pictures and videos as well. I recorded the entire gig, but as i said: my camera is rubbish. Besides, i don't know when i'll be able to upload them. And a huge thanks to Kitine for taking some nice photos of John and me! Unfortunately know i don't have any batteries for my camera left and just can't get any batteries for my camera in Leamington... oh well. More when I'm home. I am off to Coventry soon... |

I'm so glad you could enjoy John's music for such a long time! Ooooohhh jelaousy.... But in good sense, I'm happy for you  Smurf singing??? Oh, I regret not to see it, ha ha ha!!! There were more known faces?? I can't wait to read how the show was for Kitine  |

Looking forward to some pics and maybe even videos. Please, please, please. Relieved to hear that Kitine made it there too.  I seriously thought about going to Leamington, too, but without a room booked beforehand and, what's worse, without a return flight and all the disaster due to current weather conditions plus my folks waiting for me in Berlin I just didn't dare. I was thinking of you at the time the show started while I was boarding the plane . Speaking of disasters, we had to wait at the gate for about an hour before boarding because the cabin crew was missing. When we got on the plane (I was sitting 1st row) it took another 30 min. before the 1.Officer arrived, still no captain in sight, though. Half an hour later a guy came on board, wearing a long black coat and scarf and all. He looked anything but a captain, so the 1.Officer asked: "You sure you are the Captain?" to which the mysterious man replied "Yes, of course". I don't know where Ryanair picked him up but he flew us home after all. It was a flight from hell plus masses of snow for landing at Berlin airport but I couldn't have cared less as I was still super happy after Saturday's fantastic show. Needless to say that the first thing I did when I got home was booking flights and hotel-rooms for John's upcoming gig in January (which was not even officially announced at this time!!). Where is my mind as the Pixies would probably say!! ;D ;D |

AW! Gray, I'm so glad for you!! Sounds heavenly! Eleanor Rigby is one of my favorit Beatles songs! I can't wait to see that on YouTube. I must admit I'm a wee bit jealous of the 2 hour gig too! I really wish I could have gone too! Santa better be really, really good to me since I missed it! I am so gutted!
Jade, I'm glad that Regal Room was great and that you arrived back in Berlin safely. Weird story about the pilot!
Looking forward to videos, pics and stories!

forgot to mention that John said that he takes the cardboard cut-out everwhere he goes. he also proudly showed it to people and (can be seen on my videos i think). For a few minutes it even stood on the keyboard when he played. So well done Jade!!
and by the way I LOVED being in Leamington again. I took a walk and listened to John's music and it was just brilliant!

There will be another video about every 2 hours, so keep checking my youtube ;D www.youtube.com/palettenstachlerSorry about only getting up to uploading them now, about the sound quality (camera, you know), about it being quite shaky at times (it wasn't easy to take videos for such a long time, especially as everyone else was clapping and singing along and I just couldn't) etc. But you'll get many many videos, you'll get "Abdicate", lovely covers, and Smurf singing! I hope I don't distract you from sleeping, working, doing something for university or whatever else you have to do (are there really any more important things then watching John Garrison videos on youtube? ) . I basically spent the last few days in front of the computer, watching these videos... and have to stop now as I've got homework to do etc.  |

It's not a distraction, everybody needs a break to relax while doing something important, stressful and serious, and what a better break than watching videos of John, enjoying of that voice?? ;D
