Hi John, yet another question (or two....) I really like Radiohead's latest album "IN RAIN_BOWS" (in particular for its lyrical content) - IMO, out of all the seven, it's their best. Would you agree??? Which album would you want to listen to if you were: - marooned on a desert island for three days, nobody else around??? - imprisoned by mistake for one night, very annoyed at this??? Judging by the latest videos taken 'on tour' (cushion fight and all that.. ;D), should we assume the new songs you're (hopefully) currently working on are not gonna be as sad/heartbroken as some of those eternalized on your essences of Gotham 'Above The Cosmos'?? THANK YOU!! J. xxx I think In Rainbows is their best yet. A superb album that gets better every time. One of my all time favs Talk Talk's "Colour of spring" or "Spirit of Eden" Rage Against The Machine's 1st album Nope, I'm still a miserable, heartbroken annoying artist

Hey Bro, If you had once choice, what would be the single best thing about touring with JB? Meeting all the fans and seeing the world. Simple but true

On ilike.com there is a list with a lot of tracks I've never heard (of) before.... Tracktitles like 'Just the way it goes', 'Miss you', 'Which destiny', 'Numb', 'Hate get out', 'Crank call' ...... Are these demotracks, new tracks, where did they come from and will we be able to hear them in the near future? Gotta say... it feels almost like finding lewis' page .. a room full of treasures... Yes these are demo tracks. Apart from "Miss You" and "Numb", they will probably never see the light of day. Just not good enough. There are a lot more where they came from. The other 2 may see the light of day someday but I have far better tracks in my locker than those 2 in my opinion and they would need working on hmmm good news and bad news... we will most likely never hear anything of some of these tracks, yet he has better stuff in his locker, so we have something worth waiting for

Question....
There are rumors of James going to South-America in january 2009 to join up with Elton John.. has anything already be confirmed on that and if so, will you all go there?
With the touring schedule, do you get enough time to write music or work on your tracks at all? And any chance of recording anything at all?
And is there any chance you will ever upload some snippets of that vault of demo tracks for us, so we can tell what we think/feel about them?
And not to forget, thanks a million for answering our questions during that busy schedule of yours..
xx lydia

I can honestly say, if he isn't proud of the songs, or they are just not good enough in his heart, they should stay locked in the vault, never to accidently get out there. He did the smart thing. Please try and understand that. I know we all want to hear all he's got, but HE knows what he wants to put out there, and only HE can put it out there. We may think it's amazing, he may think its horrible. And if that's how he feels we should respect that.
Here's an example of what has happend. Another singer coughbluntcough, had songs locked up that he wasn't proud of...and played them for someone, who sold them on ebay for over $300. That person shared em with one person, who got mad at the dude making all this money on ebay that she shared these songs with the world. I got em, and I can honestly say, they should have stayed locked in the vault. Trust me when I say, If John says they are in the vault, let him keep them there! (gets off soap box....sorry John)

Not sure if this question is gonna come out right or not but here it goes.
If an audience is into the show, do you have more fun doing it? Or is it more fun trying to work over an audience. Does your energy draw off of the reaction of the audience?

speaking of audiences, do you actually hear the shouts from the front rows during the show? Or is the music just too loud? How far can you see?
what are you usually doing five minutes before the show?
do you have a high telephone bill when touring?
and what was that story about the red socks in Boston? ;D xx

paul lawrence July 30, 2008 John, I seem to remember your band Budapest and yourself featured in a television play based on a true story. It was about a woman sort of stalking you after stealing money from her workplace!! I never saw the end episode though, how did it end!! LOL. Paul.
You were stalked??? And by only one woman???
LInk... what did you do?? lol

Me? OMG I didn't do ANYTHING. I'm not a stalker, I just play one on TV...(and the funny thing is, the night I saw James and the boys in NJ, I was on Law and Order SVU AS a stalker. Creepy!)

John,
you're working on your new album. Have you planned to do some solo gigs in 2009 (near Europe ...) ?
Thanks

THANK YOU!! J. xxx Nope, I'm still a miserable, heartbroken annoying artist Aww, John, no "Happy-Go-Lucky" numbers, no poppy "Ain't this life so sweet" sing-along choruses???... But seriously, "Nope" was pretty much the answer I had hoped for since I'm a sucker for miserable, heartbroken annoying artists and blown away by your lovingly created, hauntingly beautiful, slow depressing love-songs. So please, please, please, don't ever evade the pain and keep on telling us the thoughts that surround you. Just make the most of all the sadness, the demons and the sirens - nobody does it quite the way you do!!!!
