Do you ever get homesick John? Seriously, jumping from Country to Country must wear you down at some point. Not so much homesick. Just friend sick. I miss seeing my buddies wherever they may be. The boys in the band make up for it though. I don't really have a home anymore anyway. I genuinely live on the road now. Until March anyway

We had favourite film, but I don't think we had fave book yet... so do you have a favourite book? And another one: Are you already tired of anwering our many questions?? I'm not a good reader. For some reason I have a real problem with books. Always have had. I've read one book in the last 20 years. Nick Drake's biography. And it took me a month. Mum had to bribe me to read as I kid and I would do it with tears running down my face. I think if it were this day and age I would have been sent to a specialist to figure out why, but back then they didn't do that kind of thing. Not in Coventry anyway. And no I'm not tired of the questions. It's just finding the time.

If there was any question in the world you could ask and would get the true answer, which would it be? Do you have a fav tie? ;D Do you like Myspace comments or do you find them annoying? (Just in case... I feel a bit guilty... ) x I would ask Bush if he REALLY thought there were WMD's before invading Iraq. Although I think we all know the answer to that. the tie I wear the most on stage is my Dad's tie from the 60's. I love it and I have had it in my guitar case ever since he died in 1997. It's the brown one with the diagonal stripes by the way I like MySpace comments unless they have those little pictures attached, in which case I tend to reject them. Only because they slow the page down so much and interupt the music.

Any chance you could give me an idea as to when and where the tour will end so I know how much money I am safe to spend and how much I should be saving?!!! The tour will finish around March I think. But none of us really know yet

Not often I've never heard him snore You get used to it. Plus ear plugs No not at all I have no idea what they are No we all like the same stuff

At what time do you guys have breakfast? (Or is that actually lunch by the time you get up after an afterparty? I've kind of already answered this one....but it's OK sometimes yes we do We never get up in time for beakfast

Question.... There are rumors of James going to South-America in january 2009 to join up with Elton John.. has anything already be confirmed on that and if so, will you all go there? With the touring schedule, do you get enough time to write music or work on your tracks at all? And any chance of recording anything at all? And is there any chance you will ever upload some snippets of that vault of demo tracks for us, so we can tell what we think/feel about them? And not to forget, thanks a million for answering our questions during that busy schedule of yours.. xx lydia I don't know yet Yes I have all my new ideas on my lap top. I usually record them in my hotel room. I am doing a lot of the pre-production/string arrangements as we speak. There is plenty of time on the tour bus. No I uploaded most of them on my and Budapest's MySpace over the last 3 years and kinda wish I hadn't. It effects peoples opinions when the finished track is released. I learned that with Cosmos and with HTT Dawn when people said they preferred the demos. If they had never heard them, they would never have known and they wouldn't be listening to the album with negative thoughts. It's much easier to release the demos after people have heard the finished product. For interest value. I'm afraid you will have to wait till the album is out. I might make a few sneaky snippets available before hand but not till they are finished. No Problem

Not sure if this question is gonna come out right or not but here it goes. If an audience is into the show, do you have more fun doing it? Or is it more fun trying to work over an audience. Does your energy draw off of the reaction of the audience? It's all about the audience. A lively audience = a lively performance Yes we get all our energy from the crowd

speaking of audiences, do you actually hear the shouts from the front rows during the show? Or is the music just too loud? How far can you see? what are you usually doing five minutes before the show? do you have a high telephone bill when touring? and what was that story about the red socks in Boston? ;D xx sometimes we hear it. In the quiet bits of songs it is very annoying though. People sometimes just shout out in the quiet bits to get attention for themselves. But in between songs it's nice. Usually we can just see the front row cause of the lights. But when the audience is lit up it's an amazing site 5 mins before we go on we are usually dancing around the dressing room to ACDC having spent the previous 25 minutes warming up You do not want to know my phone bill. It is unbelievable and a constant source of alarm for me. One months bill is what I used to pay a year prior to the tour....!!! true.......

reading that guestbook of yours..... paul lawrence July 30, 2008 John, I seem to remember your band Budapest and yourself featured in a television play based on a true story. It was about a woman sort of stalking you after stealing money from her workplace!! I never saw the end episode though, how did it end!! LOL. Paul. You were stalked??? And by only one woman??? LInk... what did you do?? lol In 2003 I made my acting debut on BBC 1 in the UK and subsequently on BBC all over the world. I actually played myself and supplied the soundtrack to the drama that was a one off, split over 2 days, drama about a woman who got murdered on her way home from a Budapest concert. I had 2 speaking lines and concert footage (opening credits on youtube). The program was called Final Demand and starred Tamsin Outhwaite and Simon Pegg. It was watched by 10 million people and should have been the breakthrough for Budapest but our awesome record label not only shelved the planned 2nd single, but didn't even release a press article....!!! It still baffles me why not (and they kept my acting fee). But, hey, everything happens for a reason. We left the label soon after.

Have you ever broken a bone? (yeah, I'm a spaz. I was at my friends drinking yesterday, and decided it would be really smart to dive off the board, I hit the water at a bad angle, and cracked my nose, and both arms are nice and bruised....Duh! Drinking and a diving board...DON'T mix!) I broke my leg on tour in Spain with Budapest. I still didn't miss a show though. I played the same night I did it, drugged up to the eyeballs with pain killers. It was awesome...!!! When I got home a week later, I spent Xmas and New Year in hospital having a metal plate inserted that I still have today
