okay so I'm new to these boards, but one of my favorite threads on the JB boards is the "favorite line in a song". So I decided to bring it here.

And so, please simply share your favorite line to any JG song !!

Great idea, IILWJ!!! But there are so many, so it's really hard choices.

Will keep it to my favourite lines from 'Above the Cosmos' for a start:

from 'Testimony' - "Minutes ticking by, I can't lie still. I got my veins all full of last night still"


from 'Happy Hour' - "Cause we shared the stars with the sand on our backs and you said you'd never felt anything close.."


from 'Bugs To The Light' - "With a bag on my back holding a life, a whole bunch of 24's that add up to nothing"
and
"Just one insignificant lonely grain of sand on an infinite shore. What price to pay as the sparks signify another going away" - ( this one reminds me a bit of my favourite lines from William Blake's 'Auguries of Innocence')

Will think of my favourite line(s) of his other songs later... but to repeat my signature as well: "Life is all the things that you do waiting for all the dreams to come true" from 'We are all waiting'....

That somehow gives me goosebumps and makes me shiver everytime I hear it as it sounds so sad

Unfortunately I don't have the lyrics to that song, so maybe I got it wrong at some point, but that's at least what I hear.

edit: Thanks, loraline - I even created an account to access the Budapest messageboard in order to look for the lyrics, but this song is not among the lyrics on there...
