As I take it, John will be playing on Sunday, August 22nd, which is great... just not for me as I have booked a flight (early in May), going out on Friday August 20th, coming back on Sunday 22nd ... Bummer  . I'm such an idiot... hope Easyjet lets me change the reservation, or in case this doesn't work, Mister Garrison will be playing on one of the other days as well (please, please, please). Anyone else planning on going?? |

Not going I'm afraid, flights from Spain at summer are so ridiculous expensive, anywhere you go! Hope you find a job soon Jenny, and you can go! And best of luck Jade changing the flight! I think it shouldn't be any problem if you got the insurance...  |

By now I know, changing the flight is not a problem, getting a day off from work on Monday, however, IS.  But I don't give up so easily. Sorry to hear you can't make it to Copenhagen. Dear Lucy, thanks for caring on facebook the other day. Karma coming soon. Regarding 'What happened': Well, I had a wonderful 3 days in even more wonderful Copenhagen, mainly nice, sunny weather, lots of good music, a food festival, the Sculpturebiennale at Rosenborg Gardens, extended shoe-shopping ('S.L.U.T. Spurt'  in the shops everywhere ;D, yes folks, it's really called that)... only the ending of my trip sucked big time as I couldn't go and see John perform.  Until Friday I still hoped I could stay for the gig, but no way. Had to return to Berlin on Sunday because there was an 'uncancelable' press meeting I had to attend on Monday morning for a project I have been working on for quite some time. Soooo sad. I would have loved to see John perform, it's been a while since the Underbelly in May. So, will have to wait for my Garrison live fix until Sep. 9th. Ironically, that was the last thing I saw before leaving Copenhagen airport, really says it all:  So sorry I've fallen down on the job and cannot come up with a review. No gig's pics, either. Maybe someone else can. I'd love to hear how it was, the set... and if Peanut was the opening act again. Anyone??? Please, please, please! |

Indeed, the Copenhagen thing was really sad, as I was so close and then kind of fucked up on the finish line. But hey, there's always next time, and I'm already in London mode. ;D As for the Coventry show, I'm still trying - Just yesterday, I very nearly booked a flight to East Midlands, arrival Friday late in the evening. Then I realized that getting from the airport to Coventry sometime around midnight is not quite so easy, unless you've got a car and fancy driving in the dark on 'the wrong side of the alley'. So, I cancelled the whole thing... for now anyway. Wishing you much fun at the Esquires and hope we'll meet up again very soon. All the best to all the family. J. xxxxx |
