Wow! I did say "tons", didn't I ! Perhaps I should clarify,.... in devlin language 'tons' may actuallly only refer to about 20 baby fish each summer!! He he... I suppose I am prone to exaduration from time to time. However, that's still too many fish for one small pond, so my offer still stands for free fish. Although not sure how they would survive the mail service!! Lol!!

And if they had survived the mail service, they'd have to face a very hungry cat here...lol.

Well, the friend who wanted to celebrate her birthday on the 13th of June told me today that she now wants to celebrate on her actual birthday, which is a few days ealier. So I thought that I'd have the chance to go...
But today, our cat was hit by a car and now has a pelvic fracture. The vet bill was incredibly high, treatment will cost even more money and besides, it'll take about 6 weeks to heal so I really don't know if I can still attend the gig...

Oh no!! That's terrible news. At least your cat didn't die though!! I've seen a lot of animals that have been hit by cars....yours was very lucky to be alive and to have owners willing to take care of it instead of just putting it to sleep! Don't worry, John will play another gig soon!

Thanks... one of our cats was indeed killed by a car. Really don't know why people drive that fast on this narrow street.

So sorry to hear this, gray. Hope all goes well for you and the cat. I still hope you can make it to Copenhagen, though... fingers crossed!! @ devlin - That's a great statement you have chosen there, one of so many that Bono came up with during his career. And I adore him for still being "drunk on the idea" that music can change the world. Currently, I'm reading the 'Ultimate U2 Encyclopedia', completely revised and updated... quite an interesting read!

@jade: Yeah, Bono is my hero!! He's such an amazing person!! He has really been such a great role model for our generation in so many ways!! Look at how many musicians use their popularity to support worthy causes nowdays! There were others, but he was one of the first and really took it to a new level!! I just finished 'Bono-In Conversation with Michka Assayas' which was really enlightening. He also wrote a little booklet called 'On The Move' which I recomend reading AFTER the first book I mentioned, because it makes more of a statement after you read about some of his personal experiences in Africa. He has inspired me to be a more charitable person and to trully understand accountability by the human race. Now I'm working on 'U2 by U2' that I just bought myself for my birthday. The book you mentioned is next on my list, but I haven't bought it yet. Let me know how you like it when you're done, ok?

Cat is home now and VERY pissed off. But at least she's lying down and having some rest, which is something she'll have to do for the next few weeks.

Sad news there...entire family went to a birthday party yesterday and when we came home our cat was having a fit. Went to the vet immediately and it turned out that our cat suffers from epilepsy and her liver isn't working properly - might be cancer she's still at the vet now and being treated. And soon they will test if the cancer is curable... please keep your fingers crossed it is!!! I know there are many people who say that it's just an animal and thus isn't impoortant but I guess you agree with me that pets become family members in a way... we got her when I was just 5 years old, and I really don't want to lose her.

Oh, sorry Gray!!! *hundreds of millions of hugs to you* I have my fingers crossed and evrything crossed for a positive result of this, I really hope your cat will be OK soon. Now let's think in positive, and give her a lot of love. If we're waiting for the better, the worst go away sometimes.
