Great News! Molly has been found and she is home safe and sound! I posted a notice on Craigs List with a picture of her and a few hours later someone else posted that they had found a mini-schnauzer...then a third person had read both posts and put two and two together and called me. My son rushed over and got her...we are soooooooo relieved!

don't worry about the ranting, missalabama and there should of course be restrictions as to what animals you can keep, but it also depends on how the animal is treated. There are people with a little monkey, smaller than chimpansees (tho those are the most intelligent) who help them just like a guiding dog helps a blind (wo)man. But then you talk about trained animals, not a dressed up monkey... And all animals that have ancestors in the wild still have a hint of that natural instinct. It is how they are treated if that instinct acts up or not. In the end, the animal can't help being true to its nature, while whe humans will have to look in the mirror and think of what we could have done differently....

Yay! Glad Molly "Found her way back home!" Got to throw in a Clapton reference every now and then... LOL! Yes, I think Schnauzers are German. They are so cute! My best friend has 4 of them and they all have different personalities.
Thanks, Loraline! I agree with you totally!

@ Jade...Yes...mini schnauzers are German. They are very well tempered dogs that are very loyal. They are also considered "allergy" dogs...meaning that they are good dogs for people with allergies...they do not shed or have pet dander. When we were looking at getting a full-bread dog I did a lot of research and always came back to this bread. We got her 6 years ago as a puppy...she was actually the runt and my son said we had to save her because all her brothers & sisters were jumping over and around her and she was just standing still shaking. So we did, and now she's just another family member that travels everywhere with us we can take her.
@ missalabama...my Molly has quite the personality, too. She is my best friend. She is always sitting next to me and follows me all over the house...even when I take a shower, she is waiting outside the door. If someone walks up to me and grabs me or ties to smack or hit me she will growl and jump up and snap at them...she's never hurt anyone...she always gives a warning shot first ;D The only bad thing is she is a little yapper.

I'm so SORRY, Girls, for my ranting... Sometimes I get a little crazy when it comes to animals... Don't be... as I said I don't really like the thought of having a snake in the room next to mine... and as you said a snake is not really an animal to be kept as a pet - in my opinion Great News! Molly has been found and she is home safe and sound! SO GLAD about that!!! Finally some good news in this topic

@ Kerpea, That's such a cute story about Molly! My sister's little teacup Yorkie does the same thing. She is attached to my sister and follows her everywhere.
@ Loraline, glad to hear your bunny is doing better. My favorite stories when I was a kid were Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.

We have a new four-legged family member! We already got her on Tuesday, but she just now got her name: Jersey Aoibheann Scotti. She way quite shy on the first day, but now she's lively and already feeling at home (and seems to be happy here, despite her name ). She's beautiful, especially her ears are, and she's a funny one... she does not only have the usual 'meow', but makes some funny squeaking noises as well and her purr sometimes sounds strange, too.
