Lucy, I hear Mark Owen got married on Sunday... and you were not invited?? Not fair! Oh, don't worry, I was invited, but John's gig was the next day, and partying with the 4 guys is soooo exhausting, so I went to Mark's house on Saturday, and I told Mark: sorry man, but I can't, I have a very very important appointment on Monday, and this time, he's first  I'm so happy for you anyway ;D ;D Ah, I see! You've really got your priorities straight! I bet it wasn't quite so easy for Mister Owen to take that... but hey, such is life... Listening to Gary Barlow's album "Sado-Maso In Amsterdam" right now... kidding... The Take That docu from 2005 was just re-aired on German telly, and I had to laugh when Gary said this. Actually, I'm listening to Departures whenever I can... at home, in the car, in the tube... unfortunately not in the office... but I'm working on that. There's so much to discover, always something new with each listen. Niiiice!! Any takers for all my other CD's?... I feel I don't need them anymore (apart from Cosmos, obviously... ) |

Listening to you-know-what Other Cd's?? LOL I've bought 3 cd's in London (apart from the 6 copies of Departures), and they're in the plastic sleeves still!!! (One of them, Jade, it's the last double CD of Snow Patrol ) Departures will be sounding at my office this evening and the whole day of tomorrow, as my bosses are out of Alicante LOL! |

Unfortunately not Johnny's second album as I have only ordered it yesterday. And this darn computer here won't let me listen to the songs on spinner... aaaarrrrggggghhhh Jenny, in case the waiting gets unbearable - If you want I'll lend you one of my 3 copies until Departures arrives at your door. Are you in Berlin at the moment? Let's meet somewhere in the city, maybe tomorrow or on Saturday, maybe Zoo Station or Central Station. Plus, I could give you the lovely badges that Lucy made for you and Flakie. Just let me know (here on the boards or via Twitter), OK?!? *********************************************** Listening to Departures... right now... actually since yesterday... on infinite repeat!!! awww thanks for the offer, but as you see I haven't been here on the boards for a while!! I finally got my copy today, so rather happy now. I'll just have to see how listening to the CD and writing an essay at the same time will work out... We could meet up another day though if you want, but I won't have time this week I guess. |

First off, thank you John for planning your public appearances around my work commitments. Perfect timing here as I happened to have a day off today, so was able to listen live at home. Personally, I thought Simply Red's "Something Got Me Started" was quite fitting as an intro. Loved the interview, definitely worthwhile. Really interesting news on what he is up to and nice, nice, nice... his words, his voice, his accent and, above all, his performance of the songs. Thank you, Lucy, for uploading the whole thing. Download worked, and I've got it saved now so that I can listen again. Can't give you Karma right now, but will do so later! |

"Trouble" - Coldplay Tom McRae (UK recording artist) recently 'twittered': "Why do all perfume ads sound like Coldplay lyrics?", so I just had to dig out my 3 Coldplay albums to find out whether he was right. Nothing wrong with Coldplay lyrics in my rather biased opinion. They kind of work for me, as do perfume ads... ;D |
