Hey, sooo nice to see so many familiar faces on here. Thank you for all your wishes, a Happy New Year to all of you, too.  Here's to a fabulous 2012! I'd love if we could 'break the silence' and breathe some life into this board again (Blimey, those '53 users online on Oct. 23, 2011' will be hard to top.  ;D ) . Waiting on new Garrison babies! Hope they come in 2012! I too hope we get to hear some of John's new "babies" sometime soon, even though I'm by no means tired of his "grown up's". How could I -They're still much needed doses of contentment in the daily busy-ness of living. All my songs will hopefully some day be finished and recorded properly. (one of the 4 listed much sooner than you think....he he).

It's great to have you here anyway.  BTW, I saw your posting on John's Facebook page a couple of days ago: I guess we are both crazy then  , but I know exactly what you mean regarding his mouth, 'eyes wide shut' and all. Depending on the song, he does this quite often at his live performances and it's exactly this kind of passion and raw emotions that gets me every time. It's definitely one of the MANY reasons why I tried to make it to most any of John's shows within reasonable distance, mainly London, in 2009/2010 (although I have a feeling my significant other did not really consider a 1000 kilometre distance to be THAT reasonable . Fortunately, at some point he gave in talking me out of this ;D, good guy!. I have to get into that place that only exists for a few moments in my life, but is where I am the most happy. Those allocated minutes where I am allowed to be myself and open my heart and soul for whomever wants to look and listen. The doors are only open for 30 minutes or so, depending on the set times. Thats the only time I am truly "me"
As a result, it can be quite difficult to get to that place and sometimes it can take a few songs to get the doors open. I usually just shut my eyes and forget where I am and just let the music tell me whats going on. When I am playing for other people it is just a really really great job. But the doors are firmly closed...!! Sorry girls, but I understand when they album is out that John will have some shows in the UK, etc..but i feel so upset because i can never go  i live in Brazil, I just can be in the UK sometimes, and John is in Brazil only with James, but I understand, but my dream is to go one day to watch JOHN! I like James but i wanna hear John singing that is so sad, but i'll wait and see what happens, ok...sorry girls for my '' :S comment '' Fingers crossed, Karine, that one day you'll be able to attend one of his live-shows in London or even Brazil. In the past John has done quite a few shows in NYC and in the Summer of 2010 he's been touring the US and Canada , so it's not just the UK or European mainland. Who knows, maybe he'll even come to play in your corner of the world one day. I am just curious...in all your travels over the past year have you been able to pickup souveniers or get to go out much and see some of the sights?
If so, what items have you picked up and will treasure and where are they from?
And...if you got to choose to go back to just one of the places you went to this past year and spend more free time there where would it be?
Iceland, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, England....!!!!!If that's anything to go by, Mister Garrison seems quite taken with your country. |

Jade that's really cool so now I'll hope because we never know what can happen , aw thanks 'Gray , if one day John comes to Brazil i'll go mad, because i only can see him when he's on tour with Blunt, I saw John in Brazil and he is so kind, he left everything he was doing to listen to me, when i saw him i didnt talk i was just moving my hands like' picture plz' hah he was laughing and said' of course ' and he left the things to take a picture with me and i was like aww sooo kinddd!!, but i hope i'll go to this show one day, because i wanna see him singing not just playing for James ...let's hope then |
