I guess most of you got it already, but if not, that's what John wrote for us and everyone else who is interested in what he is up to.
(John, I hope you don't mind that I'm posting this here!?!?)

Hi everyone
I'm writing this on the plane from Perth to Singapore. It's been a
while since my last newsletter for which I apologise, but I have had a
crazy schedule over the last few weeks, what with 15 cities and 15
flights in 7 different countries in 25 days.!!!!! Pretty exhausting
stuff I can tell you. The James Blunt tour has been great though and
we have seen some amazing things in that time. I walked along the
Great Wall of China in Beijing, saw the Olympic Torch go past my
hotel in Seoul, went on the Bullet train in Japan, partied with a Foo
Fighter on the roof of our hotel overlooking Sydney Harbour, got 3
back to back birdies playing golf in Melbourne, and managed to catch
up with a lot of friends all over the world. Great times indeed.
Huge thanks to everyone that came to my gig in New York last month. I
love playing Rockwood Music Hall and there were a lot of new faces in
the crowd which was a very nice surprise for me. I was a bit out of
practice as I've been in bass mode for the last 4 months, but it was
still a very enjoyable night. I premiered 3 new songs that I put the
finishing touches to that day but have been working on for a while
and I'm extremely happy with them. "Alexandra and Annabel, "Cold
Coffee" and "Once Around The Block". Snippets can be found on YouTube
if you search hard enough (thanks "Trouble")
Tracks from Above The Cosmos have been popping up on a few radio play
lists across the world, which has been a nice surprise. Israel and
Croatia to name a couple. I always thought the record was a word of
mouth slow burner and it would appear that is the case. Big thank you
to all the people helping to spread that word.
My previously rather dormant message board has suddenly sprung to
life thanks to a handful of very lovely people (you know who you are).
Feel free to join and natter here

Congratulations to my producer and buddy Matt Shane who has just won
a Grammy for his work with "Flight of the Concords". I'll probably
have to get him a few Stella's and have a contract ready to sign to
get him for my usual fee next time!!!!!! Good on ya mate. Maybe there
will be another Grammy on its way soon (with my name on it)
That's about all for now. Off to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Jakarta, Manila,
and South Africa before the month is out. Crazy days indeed. Thanks
for reading.
Much love
John
