Rain Rivers
So it should all come to this A wet weekday history missed “So young”
Rain rivers work around Countless feet clamped on the ground “Tragedy”
Black is the colour today I’ve only just put mine away The mud towers over your new home The new home that you’ll never move from The sound of soil bouncing off wood “Did I really do all I could” It does no good.
As raindrops crash to ground To mix with all the tears cried all around A tear burns down my face I cannot keep on coming to this place
I don’t want to think about this I don’t want to be a part of this no more
Rain rivers wash away Confetti from yesterday The irony, the irony
I no longer possess surprise I have no tears left in my eyes With my feelings dampened, I breathe on Knowing at least this can’t go on A plus in a minus’s world A glimmer of hope left to hold Myself, my gold.
As raindrops crash to ground To mix with all the tears cried all around A tear burns down my face I cannot keep on coming to this place
I don’t want to think about this I don’t want to be a part of this No more, no more, no more
