Convincing Myself
Well I guess it's ok if you want to come over I guess its ok, what damage can be done?
It's just two lonely souls getting together Just two people with no hidden agendas at all
Convincing myself
Well I guess its ok that we've been talking for hours I guess its ok I don't want this to end It's just two people with everything in common Just two people with minds connecting that's all
Convincing Myself
Well I guess it's ok if you want to stop over I guess there's little point you driving tired And there's no point you being all cold on the sofa Not when I got all this room here by my side
Convincing Myself
Well I guess it's ok if we don't tell no one I guess there's little point stoking up the fire

Occasioanally the music and the lyrics come at the same time. These are usually the best songs ("Is this The Best It Gets", "Convincing Myself" were finished within 10 minutes of getting the idea)I can't quite believe that it's possible to write such a heady Indie tune plus great lyrics within only 10 minutes. I'd assume the 'convincing-himself-process' itself took him way much longer than writing the song about it afterwards. I'm really loving this song. Funny thing is, when I first heard the snippet of this song on his website, at the "with no hidden agendas" part I thought it was "with no hit on the gender" (doesn't make sense at all, I know : . Thank God, 'ATC' was soon to arrive and it came WITH the lyrics to put things straight.

;D ;D lol, loraline! Are the lyrics you posted based on what you heard?? I thought you got them from somewhere on the net?!
As for me, I wish my English would be better.... sometimes that strange English grammar isn't funny for Germans, lol!! ;D

This is a really good tune... I got used to the acoustic demo on his myspace and when I first heard the electric version I was impressed! It totally changed the song for me.

Too bad I've never heard the acoustic version of this great song when it was up on his MySpace . Does it still exist somewhere??? I want to hear it so badly,... anyone, please??? (Hey flakie, at the risk of being labelled pedantic... looks like there's the "point" missing somewhere along the "you driving tired"-line. Maybe you can edit?? Thank You!)

I don't know if you got it already, but I should have it somewhere between Budapest cd's, I can send it to you by mail next week (weekend out) if nobody can send it before. Surely someone else has it too Diamond is right: I found a big difference between both versions too. Lyrics are the same (well, except one or two words I think), but music changes a lot.
