My parents think of John as one more in the family but they don't usually use the computer Thanks for the advice, Devlin, great idea! Have fun in Dublin, Kati!

@ Lucy...tell your boss you have the flu...with all the attention on this new flu outbreak they probably won't even ask questions...and they sure don't want you around to get others sick... Well...this was a great holiday weekend for us...spent the weekend in our pool soaking up the sun and drinking some very tasty frozen drinks... All was good till last night. Our son was at a friends house swimming in their pool and was hurt. He had a huge gash just above his eye and had to get 6 stitches in it. Can't believe we had such a great weekend to be finalized by a three hour trip to the emergency room...gotta love having a boy. Of course, this was not our first trip to the ER...we are pretty use to it...LOL! Broken bones, stitches...not sure what he'll do next!

Oh...he's fine...just a HUGE black eye that is practically swollen shut (picture posted on facebook). Today is his last day at school and his 6th grade graduation...I asked him this morning if he wanted to stay home in case his head starts hurting and he REFUSED (had it not been the last day of school he may have taken me up on it)...I think he wanted to go just to show off his latest war wound. It's a guy thing I guess...LOL! ;D

It isn't that bad...just 6 stitches (which come out in 7 to 10 days) and a black eye...he actually had 6 stitches on the other side a few years ago (dodge ball collision)...we just figure he wanted a matching set of scars...LOL

Of course, I'm 35 and still feeling not old enough to have kids... The thought of another human being coming out of my body completely terrifies me and sort of grosses me out too! I'm still traumatized by having to see "The Miracle of Life" in the 6th grade! LOL!

LOL @ missalabama...I was very young when I had him...I was 21 and I got married at 19...my husband and I have been married for 15 years this year...not the typical way of doing things but well worth it...NO REGRETS! I do have to say that there is a reason I only have one child...I think the experience at such a young age was a little too traumatic and I have NEVER had the desire to go through it again. I wouldn't trade him in for anything but I sure didn't enjoy one minute of being pregnant or the whole birth experience. The getting fat was really hard to deal with considering I was very skinny before and I looked like a beached whale in the end...some people love it but I am most definitely not one of those!

WOW, Kerpea! 15 years! Congratulations! I think it's nice that you did the whole marriage and kid thing while you were young... If I ever do have kids, the poor things will surely get teased by their classmates who will think that I am their grandmother...
LOL @ the beached whale analogy... Poor thing! The cartoon you got her figure back anyway...

I'm still traumatized by having to see "The Miracle of Life" in the 6th grade! LOL! Everyone feels that way I think! It's the fear of the unknown!! When I was pregnant with my daughter, I had to remind myself daily that millions of women all over do this every day, and have been since the begining of time!! At least we get pain blocking drugs these days!! My experience was euphoric enough that I was excited to do it again, although completely positive that I couldn't possibly love another child as much as I loved my little girl, I didn't want her to be an only child. After all, MY sister is my best friend and I didn't want her to miss out on that! Unfortunately, they informed me I was having twins and both boys!............I cried all the way home! I must admit the pregnancy with twins was a completely different and miserable experience! But as it turns out, I actually do love them just as much as my daughter! I just couldn't imagine it with out experiencing it!
