AW! Thanks, Kati! Have a great time and don't be too shy!
I got a PM from Lucy yesterday. She was trying to work it out but I don't know if she can make it. I forwarded her my confirmation email for my tickets but she is afraid that she won't be able to collect them at the window because she thinks they will probably ask for id...
I hope she makes it!!
You girlies have FUN!!!
Missy, XOXO

Hi girls, firstly big sorry for not being around here last days. I've been reading your posts, i was overwhelmed and moved, more than I am actually, thank you so so much.
Unfortunately I can't go finally, I couldn't find someone to do my work while I'm in London, so I started to think about leaving this evening because there's a last flight that would give me enough time to go to the venue (if the flight isn't late); I'd take trains from Gatwick to King's Cross and I'd arrive just in time to pick the ticket at desk and attending the show. But the problem is the way back. I just can't find the way to go to Stansted when show is over, and then the most important, how to go from Alicante airport to my work, without sleeping in more than 24 hours and keep on lying to my bosses... I feel so useless, and stupid for not stopping crying since yesterday...
So I think that my next and last chance to see John is NYC when he'll confirm that - I wish it would be soon -. John's music is very appreciated in NYC, and Matt and Pernille talks about NYC, so I think it's highly probable he'll play there next month.
New York it's so d@mn expensive, 1000 euros for the flight and 400 euros for the hotel, it's the cheaper prices I've found, and I've never been on a plane for more than 3 hours... But what worries me it's the fact of going on my own, not being there before and not knowing Manhattan at all. That REALLY scares me... But I prefer to think I was scared about going to London alone some years ago, and now it's like going home... So I have to find some courage and willpower to fight against that fear.
So, John, if you're reading this, you know I don't like New York, and I told you so many months ago I wouldn't go, but I think Departures songs deserves it, just to see how you improve them (I know you'll do it), and you better play Let's Run or I'll hide all Jack Daniel's bottles and you won't find them.....
@ Jade and co., I really hope all of you have a wonderful time there tonight, enjoy the concert as much as you can, and live it like it were the last one. I hope all of you have a safe travel as well. Take care and not forget about coming back, we'll be waiting here for you, girls.

I'm so sorry you can't make it to the Water Rats gig, Lucy! I'm sending you some Karma and wishes for a better job!
As an American, I just want to say, don't be scared of NYC! It can be intimidating at first but it is an AMAZING city! I just love it and in fact I have been considering moving there... It's just very expensive and all of the architecture firms are laying off right now... not hiring... So I'm stuck in the South for the moment. Anyway, back to you coming to NYC, I hope you come to the States for a gig, if John plays NYC. I am going to try my hardest to actually make it too. So I can help you get around. Missy XOXO
It's almost show time Girlies! Have fun Tonight! Good Luck, John!

That's all? Is it all you have to say? Jade, you don't love me anymore You know I'm just kidding as this is being a very quiet evening.... I just thought this time I'd keep it short and do it the "London-type-of-stuff" style, but okay, if you insist, Lucy, here is a bit more about last night's gig... the next chapter in my "Taking in and making memories" book: London was sunny and HOT, inside the venue it was even HOTTER, but nothing compared to Mr Garrison and his band, who were definitely the HOTTEST!! I arrived at the Water Rats at 8pm, and when I got inside Led Zep's "All My Love" was played, which was the perfect start to a perfect evening. John and his bandmates were outside, chatting to everyone and it was a really nice, laid-back atmosphere. I was with the other boardies (all so very lovely people, THANK YOU everyone, it was so much fun! ) and we had our CD's signed by John and our pictures taken. I took only 2(!) pictures during the whole night (I'm sorry), as I forgot to take one of my 10 memory cards with me, but fortunately, I didn't forget to bring one of my 10 Cosmos-CD's to have yet another one signed. At about 9pm John came on with his three piece band and it was just WOW!! Such an irresistible, thick sound! His voice stunning as always. He started with "I Leave On Friday" (other songs were Censored Memories (I think), Cold Coffee, When The Lights Go Out, Walking On Broadway, Footprints, Happy Hour... but don't hold me to that, it's late and I'm just back from London, Lydia has the setlist and knows for sure). I LOVED every song and enjoyed the heck out of this show. And by the look of it, all the band did as well. They're all brilliant musicians and as for Mister Garrison, that's what I would call 'born to perform'. He really rocked the house and I just don't get how some people manage to stand still all the time - I can't, no way. I was totally entranced from start to finish and could have listened for hours. Like Kitine said above, it went by far too quickly. But somehow that's always the case, the more we love and enjoy something, the faster it seems to be over. After the show, everyone went outside for drinks and fresh air and more drinks . John again chatting to people, sweet as always, taking pictures, having fun - NO security and NO noise police... so all good!! ;D Too bad the newspaper journalists always go for the wrong events and, as a result, miss out on the best stuff. Today, the LondonLite headlined "Kate's a bit of a Blur fan" - now, that's great for Kate. I just want to add "Jade's a bit of a Garrison fan"... and if Miss Moss knew his music, I'm sure she'd be as well!! ;D So, still left eager for more... guess I should have a look at sidestep.com now... just in case ...

Oooohhhh thank youuuuu!!!!!! thank you, thank you a lot!!! I laughed a lot reading how you put in words the temperature there, ROFL! And I was near to heart-attack when I read: "we had our Cd's signed by John ", I thought they would be Departures, despite Annmarie told about a possible launch at the end of this month. If Censored Memories was on the setlist, what a great one!!! That song is bloody amazing in a concert, as they should be Footprints, Leave On Friday and When The Lights Go Out too. Thank you soooo much Jade for telling us how it was ;D ;D sidestep.com, uh? ;D

Thanks for sharing your experience of Thursday Jade - sounds like a great night, even in the heat! Did John take anything to sell, as he said he forgot to bring anything to Leamington! Doh! Glad I'm not the only one wth memory card problems!
