It's been way too long since my last visit on this message board. I found only today this post on Kristen Bussandri's blog following James Blunt's concert in Montreal on November 29th, 2011.

Hi friends!
A few years ago, during my New York days, I had the pleasure of befriending John Garrison, a fantastic musician and songwriter who is currently touring the world as James Blunt's bass player. Last night, the band came into town and John graciously invited me to see the show and go back stage at the Bell Center (a 21,000 seat venue). After seeing last night's show, I can tell you that Mr. Blunt (real last name "Blount") can sing like an angel live and was very charismatic on stage.
John Garrison is a great singer-songwriter in his own right. You can check out his music here: garrisonmusic.com
Last time he was passing through Montreal on his own tour, we played a show together. I'll let you know next time we schedule a show so you can check him out live!
