THANK YOU, Lucy, ever so much. Can't believe I've missed this song all the time. Great song, so much energy and highly addictive indeed, but then, I did not expect it any other way. I'm stuck on the demo for "Goodbye" for quite some time now, really loving it - not only because of its music and lyric but also because it's a real mixing-masterpiece. As for the latter, I wonder whose work it is and if it was done by Markus Dravs, the guy who mixed both the Budapest albums??

Goodbye is a great song as well, not as good as You And I (for me - no offense ) but quite good. At the moment, and in the middle of postgarrison concert blues, can't stop playing After You Left (and not As You Left - mistake of mine, sorry!). It's not just about the heartbreaking lyrics, but also, and most of all, the music, how just some chords can leave you breathless with your heart in your throat. I can't wait to listen the final version, too curious to know how it will be, thinking if it would be in the line of Cold Coffee, talking about changes of sound, I mean, the differences between live versions of that song and album version. Dunno, let's see what December comes with.... ;D

Right now I can't stop listening to a song that a friend of mine and I recorded together. It's called "A Chance to Get Away." He played and recorded the acoustic guitar and the vocals in Sweden. I recorded and played the backup vocals, drums, bass guitar, and electric guitar in the US. I want to share it with you guys, go here: www.noxxus.com/downloads/totto.htmlIt's the page I sent my friend when I finished mixing it

It's really sounding great and there's something about this song that puts a massive smile on my face. I like it a lot, THANK YOU so much for sharing. Amazing how artists can work together purely through the internet and achieve something so very nice. If only I was a record label, I'd sign you in a heartbeat!! Every year, I mix and create a compilation album of various artists called "The Waterfall Varietal" series. That really is a great thing to do. How many compilation albums have you created by now? And have you mixed the one for 2010 yet? If so, who's on it and what is the tracklisting???

Hey Jade, thanks for listening and I'm happy that you like it! Both my friend, Carl-Otto, and I write a lot of songs. He wrote that one. The more I think about it, Carl-Otto's stuff called "Orphan Songs" would probably appeal to fans of John Garrison. It doesn't have the same kind of emotional touch that John has, but it's still pretty good. You all should check it out @ www.orphansongs.com. His stuff is all free. I'm recording my own debut album called "Serenades of Serenity." No release date yet though... And Jade, as for Waterfall Varietal compilation goes, my most recent is called "The Waterfall Varietal: The Calm, The Rapids, The Final Current." Here's the tracklisting: 01. "Takk" by Sigur Ros 02. "Almost Here" by Andy Yorke 03. "Bulletproof.. I Wish I Was" by Radiohead 04. "Calm of the Water" by John Garrison 05. "Vancuva" by Luke Jackson 06. "Alone" by Mercury Rev 07. "Let You Down" by Goldrush 08. "Shakma (Drunken Starlit Sky)" by Leaves 09. "Glosoli" by Sigur Ros 10. "Goodbye" by Grandaddy 11. "Return to Me" by Sparklehorse 12. "Black & White" by Carl-Otto Johansson 13. "It's Okay to Think About Ending" by Earlimart It's a pretty good compilation, but it nothing beats the one I made in 2004.

I did and all I can say is, WOW, he is pretty good indeed & I'm already hooked. That's exactly how I like my music. Same as you, your friend is hugely talented that's for sure, great songs, great voice, great musicianship. Is he really Swedish? I think he sounds like an Englishman on his recordings. I'm recording my own debut album called "Serenades of Serenity." No release date yet though... The best of luck with your debut album, Nate. Nice album title, by the way, sounds tempting. Would be great if you kept us updated on the progress with your record, release date and all!! And Jade, as for Waterfall Varietal compilation goes, my most recent is called "The Waterfall Varietal: The Calm, The Rapids, The Final Current." Here's the tracklisting: 01. "Takk" by Sigur Ros 02. That's a pretty amazing set of songs you have compiled there. Great taste in music I think. There are quite a few artists that are my favorites too (such as John Garrison (obviously), Radiohead, Sigur Ros and UK indie rockers Goldrush), but also some I've never heard of. Will definitely go and check them out when I have the time. Again, nice title, I like the expression "The Final Current" particularly - it's got a slight 'oxymoron' touch to it, which is just brilliant. Right now I'm listening to Johnny's "Never Far From Me". So lovely, never gets old.

Anyway, if you should miss me, you're likely to find me on the 'orphansongs' website, listening to all the awesome stuff there. Might be 'my chance to get away from it all', lalala. ... That's a pretty amazing set of songs you have compiled there. Great taste in music I think. Will definitely go and check them out when I have the time. I am thrilled and so is my friend that you like the music from orphansongs. Please! Feel free to download the songs, burn a disc, and share with friends if you'd like! You can "right-click-save-as" the "A Chance to Get Away" link too. I'm of course totally cool with that. Also, yes he is Swedish born. Very good that you noticed the accent. I asked him the same thing many years ago and he explained to me that when he learned English, his instructor taught everyone in his class to use English with a British accent... .. .. Wow, you actually know Goldrush? That's probably the most underground band that I put into that mix! There's a band called "Longview" that's probably my favorite band that is not on that list. I love John Garrison's music. That's why I'm here (obviously). Loved it since "Too Blind to Hear" came out. He's up there as probably my top three favorite artists! Listening to "Out of Nothing" by Embrace. My favorite song of all time.
