Who would have thought that there's still something new to discover. I found a real treasure today, buried in the depths of my MP3 player - the Demo for 'Goodbye'. Couldn't quite believe that I missed this beautifully haunting song all the time.
I was on the Underground today when I heard it for the first time, completely blown away and feeling as if in a trance. The lyrics, the arrangement and the voice echoing in the background, from the left to the right and then back again, that's just so unbelievably captivating, impossible to escape from. Love it, love it, love it!!!

It is amazing how you find another song you like every now and then, isn't it? Recently I fell for 'Love come undone' and 'Good will out'.

"Cornerstone" is another song by Mister Garrison that totally blew me away. Loved it from the very first listen and can't get it out of my head ever since.
I'm a sucker for this kind of confessional poetry/lyric writing, and with his ever so beautiful voice and a tune that's literally crawling into you, it's just another incredibly awesome song that will stay with me forever.
I wonder how it sounded when performed live at the gigs back in 2006/2007.

I'm actually singing that song at the moment because I simply can't get it out of my head as it's so addicting. It's such a beautiful little tune.

I love Cornerstone too...such a great find...but when it comes to picking a favorite can I just say all of them? ;D I have yet to hear a song by Mr. Garrison that didn't take my breath away!

Maybe he should just put out a new album with all new songs...then put out a "Greatest Demos" Album with all the best ones on there... ;D But then you run into the problem of which are the best...hummmm...how do you pick? And how many do you pick? |

And how many do you pick? Would be interesting to see which demos he would choose as HIS favourites. If I tried VERY hard I'd possibly be able to narrow it down to 35 songs I absolutely can't live without anymore, and another 35 I'm perfectly in love with as well. And if I tried even harder, maybe I'd find 10 (out of 110) I'm not that keen on. Thank God we do not have to make a choice, just enjoy them each and every day!! |

Well, in order to kill the time until there will be some news concerning Album 2 I tried to narrow it down to my "Top Ten Non Album"-tracks.
Was really hard, might as well have picked 40 or 50, but here goes:
