BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Don't know what to write, words can't do it anyway... Setlist was (say thanks to Lydia for this!!!) I Leave on Friday Cold Coffee Footprints walking on Broadway when the Lights go out So Close Is This the Best it Gets Once Around the Block Censored Memories 2nd for the 1st Time (LOVE IT) Let's Run is mentioned on the setlist but he didn't play it HAPPY HOUR (was so glad about that...!)
Well, it is nice to go wait there and after some time John comes in, waves and talks to you... can't quite tell you what we were actually talking about... I didn't say much, forgot all my English. And then we went inside hall and out, and talked to John again (and asked for the setlist before the gig had actually begun - thanks Lydia!!!!!!)... and then the gig, which was brilliant, and then talking to John again.... BRILLIANT!! Oh and got Tom's and Mark's autograph too.
Sorry for incoherent writing - Can't write much more now... maybe the others will post something soon? Btw lots of pics and videos (got John's permission to post them - "if they are nice"; well, of couse they are as John is on these videos!)- Lydia and I filmed almost the entire gig.

Rofl.. we are no stalkers... but we sure do act like stalkers... And that setlist is infamous... thnx to some girls who forgot all English they ever learned and were too frigging scared to ask for that list, I had to stalk John 3 or 4 times to get them that set list... ;D So sorry John, but us crazy crowd do what we have to do to get what we want And [size20] big thanks [/size] to Mark and Tom for signing the Cosmos Sampler too and for being there and playing It was a great evening with great music and a cozy atmosphere, everybody loved it. The evening started a little later with Bird, who put up a wonderful show, starting a capella while sound was being fixed... John started great... and yes.. all that Jazz does give a bad note in between, but that is the charm of live music And mixing the words... got that on tape too.... lol We had a wonderful evening, being there with our little group. And the people of Wheels of Action, who organized the whole thing and Javier, who got drunk with John and that way kinda talked him into playing are great and very friendly Making app. 1000 euro for their project , investing in setting up a chicken farm in Africa near the border of Tanzania and Kenia is a great achievement. And John, I do hope you will have a few copies of Departures at the Water Rats.. I still want that signed cd xx lydia

WOW! I nice reviews! Wish I could have been there for the baby shower! That's a nice set list and it's nice that he closed with "Happy Hour," which is still my favorite Garrison kid! And he played "So Close!" I just love that one! What lucky gals you are to hear it live! Now I'm wondering what he will play at the H20rats gig... I hope "Go" will be in the list... HINT, HINT, John! It's funny that y'all got the setlist from him before the show... If any of the boardies get it in London, please don't show it to me. I LOVE to be surprised as to what song is coming next... I know, I'm weird! If I ever have a kid, I don't want to know the gender beforehand...
Thanks for sharing, birds... Cant wait to see your videos and pics!

Thank you, Jenny and Lydia, for your reviews and pictures. Looking forward to seeing more!! So, I'm back in Berlin and kinda wish I wasn't. Copenhagen was great, as it is a wonderful city. Better yet, John's gig on Saturday. I loved it from start to end, more than words can possibly tell. Only downside concerning a John Garrison gig, you're likely to NEVER EVER want to see anyone else in concert again... that's what it did to me!! Consider this... As for the show itself, it was a nice venue, a great choice of songs. John was amazing, brilliant, incredible and the unexpected appearance of the Rhythm section consisting of Tom Visser (who clearly is unbelievably talented and passionate!) and Mark 'Seabo' Seabridge (give me bass..bass ) was a real treat too. The new songs sounded bloody ace (and strangely familiar given the fact that I know them for only one week or so, but is it any wonder since I've been listening to them already about a thousand times). Loved also the older songs such as Censored Memories and When The Lights Go out. Actually I loved the whole set. Personal highlights would have to be Footprints and, of course, Happy Hour!!!! Just so you get an idea... sound, however, is nowhere near the actual sound that night, sorry for that. Hope it will do, though, until the very lovely and well-equiped Lydia has uploaded her videos. Footprints s537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/itsmejade66/JohnGarrisonCopenhagen/?action=view¤t=kopenhagen202.flvHappy Hour s537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/itsmejade66/JohnGarrisonCopenhagen/?action=view¤t=kopenhagen206.flvWalking On Broadway s537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/itsmejade66/JohnGarrisonCopenhagen/?action=view¤t=kopenhagen203.flvOnce Around The Block s537.photobucket.com/albums/ff339/itsmejade66/JohnGarrisonCopenhagen/?action=view¤t=kopenhagen204.flvSome more pictures in the other thread. Rofl.. we are no stalkers... but we sure do act like stalkers... LOL to that, lydia! ;D As for me, it's rather the other way round. I AM a stalker (as more than 1,000 posts on this board clearly prove ), but am acting like a deer caught in the headlights... too starstruck to utter anything decent to the man himself. Life is a strange thing... the life of a stalker even stranger.. ;D Have you ever lost your voice before a concert? Nice question, Lucy! I don't know if this has ever happened. But I DO know that his voice was definitely there on Saturday... as beautiful and shivers-down-the-back like as it can be and as it always is. Looking forward to seeing y'all in London!!! Until then... J. xx

Thank you Jade...OMG "Happy Hour" is even better than I had ever imagined! I have half a mind to spend my entire life savings to fly them over here to just sing that ONE song...I know that if I were there and heard it live and in the flesh I would not have had enough tissue to wipe the tears...that for me would be a once in a lifetime experience!!! ;D
