Seen on his blog: www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFTno41Fm3oLOL!!! Anyone knows why videoclips are usually (as far as I see) made with the song in high speed? I wonder which software John uses to do this kind of videos: the red courtain, the bubbles at the end (I loved that effect )....

Pernille calling him on his cell phone…. GREAT! @ Jadie, Ditto and Speaking of actors and the gorgeous Johnny G look… Looks like in his new movie, Shutter Island, Leo is going for the Johnny Gee look, complete with the little, scruffy, Charlie brown’s-Christmas-tree, facial hair! SEXY! My friends went to see Shutter Island the other night but I chickened out… I’m like a 3-year-old girl when it comes to scary movies. They really frighten me, especially the ones about mental institutions! Anyway, my friends said that Shutter Island turned out not to be scary, so I am will have to go check out Leo’s new look! BOTH GORGEOUS! NO UGLY BROTHERS IN SIGHT HERE! I think most guys want Leo to play them in the movie about them but in John’s case, Leo really does look a lot like John. Perhaps that’s why Leo bought those expensive facial products??? Trying to look as great as John??? Now I’m really waiting for the John Garrison movie starring Leo. Hmmmm… I wonder who would play Pernille, Afroshane, Gaz, the boys from Budapest and The Blunty Band… AND most importantly, us, lovely and amazing boardies?

John Garrison wrote: Wow! This is soooo SAD! I didn't Know Abbey Road was closing. I agree that the music industry has become too commercial. John is so right.... Commercialism and money are the problems with all of the arts, I believe.... Movies, Fashion, Architecture... They've all become too superficial. Of course, I am very much a capitalist but I think that art shouldn't be all about the money... It is about beauty and human connection. I minored in fashion and I really wanted to be a fashion designer but I decided not to go into the fashion industry because the whole industry is about labels and the bottom line, not craft and art. Don't get me started about the architecture industry... I could write novels about the loss of the art of traditional building methods and craft. It's so tragic. In the music industry, it is my pet peeve when interviewers ask musicians and actors what labels they are wearing... For me, fashion is not about the label or how much you spent on your clothes, it is an art form and what one wears is a fun way to express your personality. Prime example: Here is an interview of Blunty where the interviewer asks about what he's wearing rather than his work. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ti5ezIqNNuEC'est moi, age 5, playing dress-up... Fashion should be this fun! NOT about money! Music shouldn't be about fashion labels!

Yes Missy, I couldn't agree more with U on this 1. Labels, I always hated them, so I was asking my Mum 2 cut them out of my clothes and now I understand why, they were IRRITATIONG me 4 BOTH Reasons!!!!!!!!!!!! In my school days, we didn't have 2 wear school unoforms as such ( just on celebrations) but we always had to wear a navy colour piny over it 2 protect our clothes and disquise our differences ( class wise). Maybe it was something 2 do with Commonism, but at least as a child it was an ideal world...we could go to cinemas, swimming pools, youth clubs, concerts and EVERY1 MANAGED TO AFFORD IT ( IE: SCHOOL TRIPS.......) and Unemployment was unheard of. Well there isn't a right state model as such, there should be a way between Kapitalism and Commonism a Welfare State- which would be reachable 2 every1. Back 2 labels now: I'm dredding the time when my 1st born'll move up 2 secondary school and that's tie time when- THE BATTLE OF LABELS COMMENCE.........Lucily Annabelle is such an individual who does Not care about fashion as such, but She's the 1 who's setting the way for herself (ie: wearing long colourful stockings from Hungary, traditionl present from my Family) in an enviroment where theonly state colour is : navy!!!! Well in the navy- world children choose 2 follow her, mainly her best friends, but it's nice 2 see a bit of a rebellion in the making, like some1 else was 27 years ago........ha, ha. Seriously, A had learnt 2 stand up 4 her rights 4 herself and She Refuses to wear things which cost double the price, because they got a LOGO...........It wasn't our influence at all, just Her own choice. Hope my other daughter'll turn out to "fight" agains the same cause......... Is that little girl U on the right handside with those classy shoes? If Yes, then I understand Your fascinations, cravings for shoes......... Hope You'll have LOTS AND LOTS OF FUN MEETING JOHN ACROSS THE POND. Please tell Him that His Garriboardies, ( i.e. me- Napsi ) are seing Him lots of Hugs and wishing Him a VERY SUCCESSUL TOUR but waiting for Him here back in the U.k. THANX A LOT MISSY! Could You send some pics for Us from the Gigs 2 DROOL OVER THEM, HA, HA. Have a SUBERB TIME WITH HIM!!!!! I'M SOOOOOOOOO JELOUS OF YOU!!!!!!!!LOL: NAPSI XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Thanks for the updates, Lucita! I'm not sure if I can make it to Indiana, though I would love to see it. I have never been there before! I haven't really been to Middle America... I've done East Coast, West Coast, South West and South East but haven't gotten to the middle yet. I'm guessing it's kind of like the South. Though they probably don't speak as weirdly as we Southerners do or eat strange things like fried pickles either. Maybe Johnny Gee in Indiana would be a perfect excuse to go. @ Kerpea, I'm SOOO SORRY you can't make it! Sending you some MEGA Karma and Lots of luck on your finals! @napsi, Yes, I am the one on the right and those are my Mom's shoes. That was a dress-up party that I had. All my friends and I played dress-up in our mothers' clothes, shoes and jewelry and we went to the local mom and pop grocery store and got candy, ice-cream, chips and all sorts of junk food along with crayons, coloring books and comic books. It was a great party. I still remember it after all these years! Of course I'm still a little girl at heart, I still love to dress up and I still love a good party! @napsi, thanks for your very interesting reply. I loved reading about your girl. She sound sweet, cute, sassy and very independent minded. I think I'm a bit like your daughter because I am not crazy over logos and I like crazy, bright tights. I try not to buy things just because they have logos... Though that's kind of hard in the US! I'm not into things because they are status symbols but rather, I like things in terms of artistic craft, style, or color. I especially love funky, unique pieces. Like your girl, I have been that was since I was little too. Maybe she will be an artist of some sort.... ;D @napsi, I found your interpretation of communism vs. capitalism a very intriguing one. As a spoiled, American capitalist, I sometimes am in my own little ivory tower not realizing that communism isn't an abstract idea or philosophy that I studied in school. So it is nice to hear viewpoints from those who have actually lived under communism. When I lived in Miami, I often had long discussions about communism with my Cuban-American friends. Though I have never experienced it, it seems that as an academic idea, it is an attempt to try to level the socio-economic divide between rich and poor and to create an even playing field but then it seems to me that when it is applied int the real world, that the result is less individualism... Of course, I guess one could say that about the American system too. Thus, I find it very interesting to hear your experience of growing up in a communist country. I guess in the end, no matter where you live or what type of government you live under, we are all humans in the end and somehow we have the spirit and drive to overcome obstacles, whatever they may be. Thanks for your great posting, Napsi, and thanks to John for a board where folks from every part of the world can talk about stuff like this... Though I think I am rambling nonsensically and probably should get back to the thread topic now... So: Updates on Garrison music... Hey, John, if you can go to Indiana, I think you should go to Florida and Alabama too... Maybe you could do a special trip to OKC for Kerpea too!

As YOU say Missy, an Artist in making. She told me 2 weeks ago that when She grows up- she'd like 2 be an Artist. I said 2 her that You might want 2 take it up as a hobby and lets see what happens.............. Last week Annabelle told me that She had this dream last night that She was writing children's books, very mysterious stories and draw the pics 4 the book 2. I asked Her 2 put it down in Her secret Diary and She'll look back in a few years time & .......Hope She'll be abke 2 follow Her Dreams................... Favourite subjects of hers are: sport, art, lit'cy, maths, science but most of all is:sport and art..........( I think She must have inhereted the skills of my Mum & Dad as not from us 4 sure......... Have a nice day Missy.
