LOL...it looks like it hurts! I want to kiss it and make it feel better, but if I am kissing his pinky, why stop there right? Oh nevermind. Headed out to my last gig tonight. In the rain, and storms....James + rain = HOT....then let the Blunty Blues kick my butt!

still three more weeks until it's (hopefully) sure how often I will see them in October... I already knew that I wanted to go in April but my 'tour partner' has some trouble with her job. This is really driving me mad because in three weeks there will be hardly any cheap train tickets available! I'd do anything for that trip...

Find a boardie to go with!
The gig in Philly was great.....I saw John from a distance after the gig, but he refused to come out, so I never had a chance to even say hello. We waited over an hour and I was forced to go home. I am rather....not happy about it.
Did see James, Ben and Karl though. What a great bunch of guys. It was nice to have a few moments to talk to James alone. Don't think that moment will never happen again. Actually I got to speak to all of the guys alone, which is rare. Now the Blunty blues have kicked in, and it's horrible this time around.

Fingers crossed for you, Flakie!!! This has to work!!!Re: Gigs The most recent gig I've been to was Simply Red last Friday as they did a show only a ten-minute walk away from my friends house in Portugal. I was a bit surprised that they played such a tiny venue like the Salgados Golf Resort (What comes next?? The shopping malls??) But then it's been a rather splendid night in wonderful surroundings. Although some of their songs are a bit poppy for my taste, I enjoyed it very much and Mick Hucknall just has a beautiful voice. As for the most memorable gigs in 2006/2007/2008, it has to be: Live Earth in July 2007 - I don't think I'll ever be seeing so many class acts at the same event (J. Blunt, Keane, Madonna, Metallica, Foo Fighters, Genesis, P. Nutini *cough*, D. Gray, D. Rice and many more) Robbie Williams in July 2006 at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin - Wasn't really impressed with Robbies voice but he is quite the entertainer. Best part: When he was singing "Back For Good"... sitting on a bar-chair... in the pouring rain... smoking a cigarette... and at the end having a crowd of 60 000 singing the words back... amazing!!! Prince in London, August 2007 - although it was a rather horrible trip home by car, late night from London back to Berlin and I had to go to work straight afterwards. The weirdest gig so far has to be The Good, The Bad & The Queen last year at the Postbahnhof in Berlin, a very, very intimate and equally strange venue but it was still a profoundly joyful experience. As for James, I went to see him seven times, it's all been GREAT!!! The shows I enjoyed the most: The second night at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, Jan 2008 (and no, not only because I stumbled across the Honourable William Luke P. ) AND the gig in Berlin in March 2008 (and yes, mainly because I met a certain left-hand-snowboarder for the very first time ;D) Next gigs I'm looking forward to: James and the band playing the O2 Arena in London on 14-Oct-08 and Coldplay playing the O2 Arena in Berlin on 15-Oct-08 (here's hoping my flight won't get delayed). Oops, no-one asked for a life-story...

If you were at the hammersmith in january, we must have met, I was there both nights But memory doesnt work that well, so can't really put a face to your being there at the moment... perhaps because most boardies went the first night to the hammersmith in january and we were all in front of the queue talking together... but no matter what, I will be there at the O2 in London in october, so we will be sure to meet up then ;D

Hey, loraline, it's a shame we didn't meet. I too was there both nights (but decided to go for seats, front balcony as I didn't want to queue up most of the day - sorry, too busy with so much London). Waited outside the venue the first night after the show until James (accompanied by his sister) came out. There were quite a few boardies waiting with me (such as Fentiger, Noblebones, onsnail, sheep, Solamore, Steve and many more) and it was really nice to talk to some of them. Did you wait there too???
Looking forward to meeting you in October!!! This has to work!! J. xx

rofl... was there both nights after the show.. but I must have missed most boardies, since after the first show I had to get that live album and ended up last in the queue of course But I did meet sheep and noblebones and a lot of others in the queue before the concert ;D There was a pic made of the group the first night, but don't really remember who made that one But I do remember Emily holding James' beer that first night

Woo hoo that's great news Loraline standing or seated?? I have standing, like always. Not sure about the other gigs apart from Leipzig and Vienna yet though :/ I will most likely know it on Monday, I even saved enough money for the expensive train tickets and flights!! I want to go so badly...

OMG today there is a city festival in Zwickau and who will be playing? MARK MEDLOCK! Why why why can't they spend the money on good acts? Or cancel it all together and use it for the libraries here or something that needs money??
Paolo is playing Dublin today...

Hey, große Ereignisse werfen ihre Schatten voraus!!!! Less than two month until "Limp Willy and the Disappointments" are going to grace us with their presence!!! Yay!!! Yesterday I just happened to look at my tickets for all the upcoming gigs again... bad thing: I purchased a ticket in the seated area for Leipzig ... good thing: Coldplay will actually be playing the O2 Arena in Berlin on Sep 15th, not Oct 15th, so plenty of time to get back from London the said day in October.. guess I need an assistant for gigging as I don't seem to be able to keep up with all the dates anymore... ;D
