lol... Let's see.. october 12.. get on bus, october 13, arrive in London, check in at a hostel, tho not sure yet which one....
october 16, bus leaving London, get home somewhere around noon on friday the 17th..
same friday, laundry, do some shopping, get a lot of rest and get up early next day for a 5hr tour to Oberhausen... Either spend the night in some hostel in Oberhausen, spend it in a train back home or spend the night on a train to Leipzig...
And finally drop dead on the floor sunday morning or monday late afternoon when I do get home... difficult choice... lol
but I will have a brilliant week for sure... ;D

bad news.... My 'tour partner' does still have trouble with her job and it's not entirely sure she can go (I'd say she can... trying to convince her... grr), so I'll either do it on my own or only attend three gigs... hmm. I hope I can convince her to at least buy the train tickets today though

Okay, I went to see Coldplay yesterday as they were playing the brand-new O2 Arena in Berlin, a venue that is 'up and running' only since 10-Sep-08 (btw, this spot kept me quite busy for many months during the different steps of the construction works as I had to work my part on plans and contracts for car parks and public transportation issues. So it was nice to see the final result now.) As for the show, it started rather disappointing due to massive problems with the sound. The music was far too loud and Chris Martin's voice got hardly through. As a result he sounded not nearly as good as on the albums. It was all the more annoying since they started their set with one of my favs, Violet Hill. In addition to the bad sound the lighting wasn't perfect either and I almost started to think 'I want my money back'. But all this should change shortly after. As the sound and the lighting got better it turned into a magnificent show. Chris Martin just has great stage presence and his facial expressions, the way he holds the guitar and, above all, his very special dance moves are already worth every penny (at times he looks as if he is doing his daily workout routine or even as if he is being shot at ). Highlights for me: Mr. Martin on his own, playing a beautiful piano on 'Trouble', then 'Fix You'. The full band performing 'Speed of Sound' and 'Viva La Vida', which really got the crowd going and led to an effective audience participation (the venue was packed by the way, sold out with about 17 000). And what a treat when the four Coldplayers were working their way through the crowd to a very, very small platform right on the other side of the main stage (which happened to be only 3 metres away from my seat, yay!!!) for a special acoustic session (one of the songs sung by Will Champion). Not to forget the second encore with 'Yellow', stunning performance and beautiful lighting (sure you guessed it... it was all yellow...). So apart from the problems to begin with it was a profoundly enjoyable show which I did not at all regret to having attended. If I had to choose, though, I would still prefer a Blunt gig to a Coldplay concert. There's only one thing regarding yesterday's show that I definitely liked more: The position of the bass player was almost center stage and so should it!!! ;D

Thank You...Thank You...Thank You...Jade! ;D I am even more excited to see them now. I have already told my husband that I may turn into a super psycho stalker and jump the stage (I have 7th row seats) and he may have to come bail me out of jail. His reply was actually "I'm not bailing you out...you look good in orange". That was the same reply I got when I saw James (2nd row seats)...and I did have security push me back because I just couldn't help myself...LOL! I will have to agree with you on choosing between the two...James in a definite number one pick for me!

;D ha,ha,ha kerpea... your post made me smile!! Oh yeah, that's men. Mine is pretty much the same and I got some similar comments. Okay, he's been through quite a lot with me, following Mister Blunt for nearly 3 years (and 8 shows) now. But hey, I mean he almost gets teary-eyed whenever his favourite football-team scores a goal but doesn't appreciate a beautiful falsetto voice? ("Sing like a dude or don't sing at all" is one of his comments whenever it comes to my favourite musicians - but I can always see a twinkle in his eyes and I'm sure secretly he likes it, too. ). Funny thing, when we were at Live Earth in July 07 he even got into an argument with 3 guys behind us that were constantly talking during James' performance of 'Same Mistake'. When he asked them to keep it down they seemed pretty annoyed and rather aggressive but stopped their talking eventually!! (Gotta love a man who is ready to risk his life for the right reasons... ;D )

My husband REFUSED to go with me to see James He said that he didn't want to see me make a fool of myself and embarrass him...and of course, I did...make a fool of myself that is! I cried like a baby when they came out on stage...and pretty much for the rest of the show. I waited for over 3 years to see him live and in the flesh. And let me tell you...he did not disappoint...worth every penny of the $350 I spent! It is funny...I was actually at the SXSW festival the year he got his deal and he wasn't one of the acts I saw..hind sight is 20/20 right? As for those men and their shedding a tear over their sports...you are so right! Mine spends every waking hour tracking scores and stats on all kinds of sports...not to mention the fantasy leagues...Ugh Do they have the fantasy leagues over there?
